Solstice NES Review - Great Game

Solstice is one of those amazingly well-made games. It's easy to beat if you just work at it, but it's hard to get everything. I give it a 10 out of 10, for music, graphics, and the blodness to make a game that is well ahead of its time in puzzles and gameplay. However, does anyone know how to get through the last door? At the top of the last tower where the final staff piece is, open the map screen. See that door? HOW DO GET IN IT? you have to come up from below, but then you can't get in. I've tried many things...
