Thankfully, this one is better than the first one. More items, more multi-player ability, more voices & sounds, and better graphics all make this the stellar NES cart of Gauntlet. There isn't so much of a quest feel this time, which Gauntlet never was about in the first place. No, as I can tell, this one never ends, but again, that's what Gauntlet stands for. The instruction books tell us that the acid puddles are "totally random", though, which isn't the truth. That acid puddles in both Gauntlets should be called "heat-seeking".
But anyway, it is a lot better that the first cart..needs automatic weapon fire, though. 8 out of 10
