...where the gamer has to help our well known vampire hunter to break an evil curse.
This one is the best of all three castlevania titels for the NES.
It's all there. Athmosphere, great gameplay and a bunch of mind twisted townfolks ;)
This is a true adventure of Simon Belmont, with a few rpg elements.
The first run is the hardest. Where to go, what to do? Those town peoples are not all that helpful, their advices are confusing - just ignore them all together. Find those hint books hidden in walls and floors throughout Transylvania.
I walked in many circles as i didn't know the ongoings.
The second run, i remembered a few bits and got through faster than on my first visit in Transylvania.
And in my third run i managed to get an even more sunny playtime.
It took me several more runs till complete perfection.
I learnd about items one doesn't need, places one haven't to stalk. That cuts lot of wasted time away.
Now i can play this game in one sitting. Always getting the best ending :)
If one can get through the learning process, this one stands out of all castlevania games.
A true gem.
