Castlevania is the first of games that is arguably the most enjoyable series of games in video game history. A game with balanced challenge and some of the finest set of weapons to encounter enemies with. The holy water, though cheap when mastered, has got to be one of the best weapons in a video game. The cross, axe and even the heart consuming timeclock are also examples of genius weaponry. The challenge is well balanced, but not too hard, with some intense boss fights and deadly enemy/platform situations that really test your skills (those nasty medusa heads on the second quest). There\'s so much to say bout the game. A solid game for the ages.
