This was one of my favorite games as a kid. This game takes a more realistic approach to the sport, rather than the more cartoony Ice Hockey.
However, there are some down points to the game. For instance, the puck never actually leaves the surface of the ice. There are no wrist shots here.
However, the fights are well done, and add an extra emement to the game, and the penalty shots feature some solid graphic's and DO allow you to get the puck up and off the ice.
This game isn't as good for hockey as Tecmo Super Bowl was for football, but it still did an admirable job of representing the sport. I gave it 4 out of 5.
