Okay, the NES was not a great console to play sports-games on. Their aren't any good soccer-games for the NES, for example, although they released tons of them.
But this one IS actually one of the few excellent NES-sportsgames. It's about basketball, and the extra touch is the fact that can hit your opponent right in the face, without becoming a fighting-game on itself.
Although it lacks the option of a league, it's still a nice game, even better in 2-player mode ! It's even far better than serious basketball games like 'fast break' or 'double dribble' for the NES. I guess that says more about those games then about 'Arch Rivals'...........
I'll rate it a 3 out of 5.....
