How do you feel about Majora's Mask?

Is there anyone else in the world that didn't like Majora's Mask?... anyone?...

That would be me. the whole time thing just got in the way of the game being fun. while time based events are great, having to restart every three days is just annoying.
Really? THat's what irritated me. I'm not alone!
Wasn't there a cheat, if you played the song of time backwards you wouldn't have to start over?
That slowed time, but you still had to start over.
I rented it as soon as it came out, invited a few friends over, and we had alot of fun trying to beat it. I like the characters in Majora's Mask better than the ones in Ocarina of Time.
I know. I loved the game, the characters, the gameplay, but the time function just plain the whole thing.
Sort of like how the experience system ruins FF2 for a lot of people.
I thought the time thing would annoy me and I put off buying it for a few years because of that. But once I got it I actually found it to be no problem at all (except for right at the start of the game before you had the song of time). I only got about 1/2 way through though so don't know how it is later on in the game. I have the Game Cube version which is as buggy as hell so am waiting to get it on the N64.
You know, I keep hearing that, but I played quite a bit into it, and I didn't notice any huge issues... I honestly didn't even have any noticable sound problems, which I assumed would be a big issue, with the disclaimer on the load screen and all...
You'll know about the worst bug when it hapeens. The game just totally freezes so that you have to reset. At first I thought this was because my disc was scratched but then I read that it happens to all of them because it's down to a bad port. It doesn't happen all that often, but seeming as the nature of the game means you sometimes have to play for hours at a time without being able to save it becomes very annoying. The final straw was when it happened after I had played a huge section of the game and was about a minute away from saving. I couldn't face going through it all again, especially as the same thing could have repeated, so I gave up and vowed to get the N64 version.
If it hasn't happened to you you've either been lucky so far or maybe Nintendo resovled the issue and you have a later version. It doesn't happen all that often, only once every few hours of play, but it was enough to ruin the game for me.
I like Majora's Mask.
The time feature didn't turn me off.
If it didn't have the time factor, I would be an absolutely raving fanboy. It was an awesome game, but it just felt like I was being pressured, that I wasn't free to do as I pleased.
I fully agree. the bit that I did play, when I was able to ignore the fact that I only had a few short minutes to accomplish my
Goals, was most excellent.
If you were a real hero you couldn't complain about something like that.
I understand if you don't like to be under pressure, but that's one aspect of the game and as the creators wanted it to be.
Hero? Who said anything about being a hero? I like to screw around and explore.
...And root for the villains in Saturday morning cartoons. Go Starscream!
Majora's Mask, to me, is amazing.
The idea of a time constraint adds to the game in my opinion.
A lot of my friends hate the game though.
I never gave this game a fair chance because of the time constraint thing. In games, I really enjoy exploring worlds and finding all of the hidden items and such.
I am planning on getting this game soon, just to give it another chance .

I honestly had no idea that any
Zelda fan (other than me) actually disliked the game... Before I joined here, every fan that I had ever met thought that it was by far the best game in the series...
i mean ooo yay, Time, just play the song of time, and go back to the first Day.
this is onme of the best
Zeldas outthere.

In that game YOU ARE THE HERO. And the hero can't complain. Or he will be smashed by the moon.
Well... maybe Link could be in denial.
Majora's Mask Disappointed me. It was very short and to save, you had to play the flute, and you lost whatever you found. It gets boring after seeing the same thing happen over and over again. It rate it a 7/10.
dont forget you also get those owl statues to save on.
