I joined this forum in 2004. I remember the glory days of 2005-2006. This community was rockin' back then. Had some great times and met many interesting people that shared NES love.

I still have dozens of images that I made for this forum a few years ago (when I was to be the resident jokester). Also saved a lot of old topics and conversations with members here.

NES Files is still a great site, so I'm wondering what happened to the community.

Where is everyone? What are you up to?
I am still working with Roth at PlayTheNES, making the NES soundtracks and updating irregularly. I still play NES every week. This probably won't change... ever!

I check in every other month to see if anyone has anything to say. I get sad when I see that most of the last replies on topics were over a year ago.

I haven't been up to much lately. Getting married this Halloween *that is if my divorce gets finalized by then*. I'm due in August and am having a boy *finally, someone to play Rockband with...* I'm still hopelessly addicted to my DS, though very discontent on no new real titles being released for it as of lately. Got Guitar Hero *PS3* Metallica but find it too hard to play right now due to the fact my stomach is WAY too far out from my body.
Basically same old, same old. Mellowed out due to the baby slowly eating my brain. I theorize they do this so you won't be scared when the time comes.
I facebook alot. I hate twitter.

Always good to hear hear the news though. I sincerely hope your boy turns out to be a healthy humanoid who hopefully aquires his mother's good looks and impressive drawing skills.

Now if there was only a way to edit the forum theme to the classic NES Files style. The current style isn't bad (a liitle dark) but I long for the original style.
Since derek is the only one with FTP access, I can live with it. I've dabbled in PHPBB before. It's complicated but highly customizable.

Quite sure I have access to the styles. Theoretically, if a style were prepared, I could install it.

Yeah, I'd be into posting again if it were reverted to the classic green and black. Honestly, a load of diarrhea vomited out of a buffalo's asshole looks better than this layout.

I will look into editing the phpBB dark theme into something like the classic nesfiles. Should only be a matter of changing the table and font colors.
Getting the user info to be on the left side will be tricky but doable.
I'll post a link if I come up with a good demo.

Yeah, still alive here. I don't think I have checked this place in almost a year? wow. I haven't had an NES plugged in for quite some time, and don't really have time for my newer consoles. Just working and taking care of my boy. He's 3yrs old now, and getting soo smart.

Now that I see some people are trying to bring this place back, I'll check in a little more often. (so long as we get this terrible skin/layout fixed )
