As a matter of fact, this movie is based on the original comics, which were supposedly much more "dark" than the cartoons/live-action movies and everything else we had as children.

Alright atleast thats good. Luke did you read those comics? They have a new seris of comics based on the new Cartoon seris.

Luke is right about the original comics beeing more darker. I scanned out the entire #1 comic book from the official website, 40 pages worth!

i've got the first graphic novel, and it's ALOT 'darker' than the cartoon ever was. there's blood, they say 'damn' and 'hell', they're more violent, you can see Aprils nipple LAWLAWLAWLAWL (i never noticed that until just now, flipping through it )

if it's anything like the firts graphic novel, it'll be alot better than i first thought

I've got some facts about Ninja Turtles in general, in case some of you didn't know it.

1. It's created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, I'm sure you all knew that, but Kevin has now quited on the project and sold his share to Peter, this is old news, but still a bummer...

2. In the comic book series that is currently beeing released, Splinter is now dead, belive it or not...

that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard.... the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles isn't the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without Splinter
