i just got my permit! Now I can drive, but i need a car.

Hey! Good job. Get your license soon, though. THe last thing you want to do is be lazy and let it expire.

yeah... and the state might be changing the law on the age limit to get a license... if that happens, i dont know what i'll do.....

It's "grandfathered" in. Basically if they changed it you would be fine, it would just apply to new applicants. (In most cases)

yeah i was going to say that. they can't just change the law on you and say "welp, we changed the law, you wait another 2 years before you can drive"

and with the permit, don't you drive your parents car? here in Florida, you have to be in a car with someone 21 or older with a valid liscense. so technically you don't need a car just yet, unless your rule/law is different

no, it's the same. i am still not sure but i think jenni is right about the situation if they change the age.
