My Drawings
After a very, very long time (years) I decided to pick up a pencil and draw.
After seeing Newb's drawings, something in me clicked. (So I guess in a way you could say he inspired me). I've always enjoyed to draw/create and over the years lost my way (maybe it had to do with the fact I was always f'd up on some sort of substance(s).
Not the best, but like I said it's been a bit so go easy on me.
Nice! That first girl has hair like me, almost
I don't know if you're drawing from life or from some sort of source, but if you aren't, you certainly should.
My main suggestion to you would be to make more marks. Make marks for every single plane that you see. For example, nobody's nose is just a line and two dots, it's composed of multiple shapes. Establish dimension with marks, and work away from outlining features. Don't be afraid to let a drawing get sloppy or to think reactively.
Your best mark making is in the hair. I think if you applied what you're doing there to the rest of the form, you'd be capable of some really good work.
I envy you. You've got style, dammit! I don't have any particular style at all.
Funny you should talk about something 'clicking', I actually stopped drawing for a long time last year, until I saw this book demonstrating comic book illustrations... then suddenly I wanted to sketch like crazy.
Those sketches are good, too. The only constructive criticism I could offer is that the second woman's face seems a bit elongated. Perhaps the nose could be shortend a smidgen?
You have the most kick ass hair I've ever seen!
I'm jealous, my hair just sits there.
I don't draw from "life". It all comes from "upstairs".
The reason for the noses is I have this insane love of japansese animation noses. And also noses, much like hands, suck to draw.
As I draw more, it'll all come together. I've had a six year hiatis so I have a lot to work on.

See? It's highbrow humor.
That would explain why I'm not laughing.
