Let's see what has to say about that!
Anybody can kick their ass, Musically.
Eat
(I'm looking for any excuse to use this. You've created a monster, Campkill!)
While we got him down, let's kick him.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! ..... Micheal Jackson??? How could you go so low as to get into this????
You're lucky we didn't pull out the guns (Rush, anyone?). Moving on...
Guns 'n Roses could kick their asses.
It's a bit unfair putting Metallica against Yes, considering the vast majority of the results wouldn't be about the band. I mean look:
And half the Michael Jackson results are probably links to kiddie porn.
However, on the subject of modern Metallica,
I agree
Eat
(I'm looking for any excuse to use this. You've created a monster, Campkill!)
Looks like Simon and Garfunkel ownd w00t l0l r00fzle

'Tormato'-Madrigal:
will be there said my friend of a distant life
Covered in greens of a golden age, set in stone
Follow me "he sounded of dreams supreme" follow me
Drifting within the glow and the after-glow of the eve
And if that firelight, I could match the inner flame
Sacred ships do sail the seventh age
Cast off your garments of fear, replace them with love
Most of all play with the game of the age
Highest of places remain all as one with you
Giving us light and the freedom of the day
--- | ---
And if that firelight, I could match the inner flame
Sacred ships do sail the seventh age
And have always been here
Celestial travelers have always been here with us
Set in the homes of the Universe we have yet to go
Countless expansions will arrive and flow inside of us
My friend, he of fantasy, dancing with the spirit of the age
Kanye West - Late Registration

sage francis - a healthy distrust, especially escape artist. it's rad.
kanye's late registration is really good. I think that the censored version of gold digger is better for some reason, something about the double no broke.

Beast of Burden - The Rolling Stones
(One of the only 3 concerts I've ever been to)
I highly recommend the song "She has a girlfriend now".
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm....
The vessel with the pestle has the pellet that is poisoned and the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true.
Led Zeppelin - II

Lemon Demon
nice big Mike Oldfield kick right now.
Yes, I seriously played that song 300 + times.
Yeah, the bitrate on most of those albums are disgusting, but I purchased Ommadawn Tubular bells and Hergest Ridge on CD, so they should be 224 VBR soon enough.
(')-FZ
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood - The Animals
For some reason I've been
Hooked on the 80's
Pink Floyd's first album Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Which is strangely retarded.
And, Toad's first album
Dude, the song Bike is the shit. Very weird
Incubus - Make Yourself
Pink Floyd's first album Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Which is strangely retarded.
I've got a bike
You can ride it if you like
It's got a basket
A bell that rings
And things to make it look good
I'd give it to you if I could
But I borrowed it
Piper at the Gates of Dawn is the only thing Pink Floyd recorded that isn't overly wanked out and boring.
Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order
Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order
Scorpions - The Very Best of
Bah, I despise "Greatest Hits" and "Best of" CD's..
Slipknot Self Titled.
they despise you too.
it's a good album eitherway
And I generally dislike Live CDs. Bad audio, without the visual interest of a live performance. Though I do like my live Black Sabbath CD.
i don't like live cds either. who wants to hear a bunch of people shouting and carrying on when you're trying to listen to music? i sure as hell don't. like you said, the audio is usually bad.
Though it is funny that you can tell how baked a singer is by listening to them ramble during a live performance... Namely, Ozzy.
Alot of live albums suffer from bad recording. That's my only beef with them. But a well recorded live album is an amazing thing, and in my opinion, presents a signifigantly more honest and soulful version of a band than is usually heard in the studio.
A good example is that Sabbath album you're talking about, you've found humor in the nuances presented by a band performing live. My favorite is probably Otis Redding Live at The Montery Pop Festival. Because his dialogue between songs is incredible. It also marks a monumental time in history, the first time his music had been embraced by a white crowd. You should hear how wholeheartedly they do so.
Don't like official live recordings? Wow. You'd cry if you heard the 1969 audience recording of Yes from Amougies..
so is Alice in Chains Unplugged
I think "unplugged" and "live" are a little different (normally)...
Unplugged.. there is a bunch of people really laid back listning to some tunes...
Live... a bunch of loud drunks who don't know where they are, or who they are listning to, and just trying to find the ONE girl in the mosh pit and feel her up...

It was always my understanding that 'unplugged' was just using acoustic instruments.
Looks like the Wikipedia backs me up on that.
Yeah, so does my Eric Clapton CD, UNPLUGGED.
It was always my understanding that 'unplugged' was just using acoustic instruments.
Looks like the Wikipedia backs me up on that.
I know the correct definition, I just meant it to be sarcastic... Let me clarify....
the type of people that are listning to "unplugged" are not going to be hooting and hollaring like a bunch of drunken monkeys, therefor not "ruining" the recording/better sound quality.
Sure.
Does anybody know a way to disable italics bold and underline from appearing? Me and Luke figured it would be the BBCode option in profile, but it has no affect..
Does anybody know a way to disable italics bold and underline from appearing? Me and Luke figured it would be the BBCode option in profile, but it has no affect..
BWAHAHAHA! You can't fight me!
Furthermore, to be even irritating, I'll point out that 'affect' is strictly a verb! 'Effect' is the noun form, though the latter isn't an ironclad rule.
Analgrammaticalman strikes again!
In all seriousness, though, Atariboy tried to disable it, but all he managed to do was disable them appearing in his own posts; he was griping to me about it a while back.
Anyways.....
Back to the thread subject at hand,
I've been listening to
Hole - Live Through This
don't see what the big deal is about italics
Incubus - Morning View
Neither do place, I imagine.
Stray Cats-Runaway Boys-A Retrospective '81-'92
I don't think that italics or bold are all that bad.... I may have went overboard with italics + bold though ....
Actually I like the options... Shows emphasis (i really suck at spelling sometimes, or at least I doubt myself too much)
I love the Stray Cats....it's such happy music!
because of your post I've been inspired to listen to
The Brian Setzer Orchestra - The Dirty Boogie
Monty Python's previous record and The Meaning of Life.
Beverly Hills - Weezer
I love the Stray Cats....it's such happy music!
because of your post I've been inspired to listen to
The Brian Setzer Orchestra - The Dirty Boogie
Yup. Mr. Setzer is one of my Gods.

Amazing post hardcore band..plus they cover the Ramones, who are the greatest punk rock band ever.
Eeeeesh... damn, as much as I love the Ramones, I have to agree to disagree on that point.
another punk fan?
ok then best punk band is? NoFx? Black Flag? The Smiths? Misfits? Simple plan? sorry that was a bad joke..dont get me started on the teeny-boppers with fauxhawks calling themselves "punk"
Eeeeesh... damn, as much as I love the Ramones, I have to agree to disagree on that point.
yeah, i mean we all know that the Misfits are the greatest punk band (excluding their new shit). hell, the Dead Kennedys are better than the Ramones....
back on topic:
i've been on an Incubus kick lately. and right now i'm listening to A Crow Left of the Murder
EDIT: since i didn't get to see MetalSluggers last post, i'll add to the lame joke and say he forgot to mention Good Charolette
Eh i was never a big DK fan..either incarnation. Misfits I'll give you are amazing but more to metal side dont you think?
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables is a great album. and i guess the Misfits are a little more 'metal', but it's still 'punk', so they're the best 'punk' band
A cd full of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 skits and songs
Good Charlotte Sucks so much..but Tim Armstrong from RANCID says he is a huge fan.. Am I missing something?
i bet they paid him to say that....

I'd say it's a tie between DK and The Misfits... though I have a preference for the Dead Kennedys.
You see, I like (real) punk rock, but I love the Misfits, Ramones, and Dead Kennedys. Mainly, because all three bands were all pretty damn different from one another, but still had one decidedly unique theme to their music.
If you pay attention, you'll notice a distinct surf guitar presence in all of their songs. It's easiest to notice it in the Kennedys' and Ramones' work, but it's in the Misfits' work, as well... you just have to listen.
*Ahem* back on topic, I'm listening to Thick as A Brick right now. Long night working on the school paper, and my laptop's providing some much needed music for everyone in the room.

*sings in high pitch voice* "..we ask for Mojo Nixon they ay he dont work here, we say if you dont know about Mojo Nixon your store could use some fixin'"
I was just listening to them earlier (dead Milkmen)
The Ramones are indeed the greatest punk band, simply because they are the greatest American band since the 50's. And certainly the most influential band since the Beatles.
These bands you guys are talking about. Dead Kennedys, Misfits, Dead Milkmen, they all appropriated the low brow aesthetic from the Ramones. I'd venture to say that if you've made a rock record since 1976 and it doesn't have some Ramones influence, it probably sucks.
...Ignoring the fact that Eric Boucher covered a hell of a lot more range with his voice than the Ramones ever did. Of course most of it was screaming, but still, you know what I mean.
Furthermore, I personally respected the diverse, odd, and often shocking content of the Misfits' and Dead Kennedys' songs, something which I closely associate with punk. Now, I love the Ramones, but their lyrics never came close to the edge of the other two bands.
I have a ton of MST3K mp3's If your interested.
Nah, I have enough of my own... I just can't find that damn werewolf song...
"Jello" was a far more superior lyricist as well. The Ramones have some catchy tunes and all, but they merely come off as something much more "novelty" than serious and politically threatening (like Dead Kennedys).
This doesn't necessarily make them the "greater band", however I do think it makes them the "greater punk band" as 'DK' is a more accurate reflection of how the genre be.
Prepare for the hijacking...

I am prepared. I got my player sheet and dice all set up, biyatches.

Good Album. I had it on cassette and wore it out. I gotta get the CD.
Yeah, Tom Petty in his heyday... good times.
yeah that album has some good songs on it, free falling, running down a dream, i won't back down, a face in the crowd, yer so bad, etc...

Performed and arranged by Akira Yamaoka. Perfectly compliments the game of mention.
Check out these brief samples (in the form of high-quality full-length mp3s)-
Good stuff. Unfortunately however, I was not able to clearly pick out influence in it.

Ah, a fellow older music Believer.
And speaking of that--all 3 CD's from The Rolling Stones Singles Collection* the London Years.
EDIT--And is "Ring Of Fire" just the song, or the whole album? I have trouble finding the actual album, and "Remember The Alamo" is hard to find unless you buy a mammoth boxed set...

Stuck in the Middle With You - Stealers Wheel
Various CD's from Chuck Berry: The Chess Box.
How is the box set? Is there anything unique to it that's not available elsewhere?
I hate CDs, but make exceptions for the good stuff.
It's good. It's got all the hits, plus some more rare songs (if you don't have all the albums), and some live songs, including the racier-lyric version of "Reelin' And Rockin'".
Yeah. I looked at it on Amazon. Definitely a good collection, but I think I've got all of that stuff.
But, for those of you that don't have any Chuck Berry, you should probably get that box set.
Not Fade Away - Buddy Holly Greatest Hits
Hitler Was a Vegitarian ~ The Residents
I have some Ben folds songs that I am listing right now.
I've recently started listening to a few They Might Be Giants Songs... not... sure what to make of them, but the songs do grow on you.
YARF! Bad Dog strikes again with a good 'un!
Today, on the record player, is the Ventures' original Walk, Don't Run album.
Love dem Ventures, 'specially Walk Don't Run. And I'm not particularly fond of Surf Guitar, either.
Yeah, the "Walk Don't Run" has some actual thought put into the guitar fingering (huh-huh-huh, I said "fingering,") while most surf guitar (except for possibly Dick Dale) people simply repeat that "Pipeline" riff over and over again, just in different ways.
Elvis Costello - This Years Model.
Ignore the fact that he might be considered to be "dad" music, he's pretty damn good.
I'm listening to "Porco Rosso Original Soundtrack". Thanks to cospefogo who told me where to download it.
I have been enjoying alot of this band called "Nana".
Also I really like Ben folds and here is some lyrics from of there good songs:
Not the same:
You took a trip and climbed a tree
At Robert Sledge's party
And there you stayed till morning came
And you were not the same after that
You gave your life to Jesus Christ
And after all your friends went home
You came down, you looked around
And you were not the same after that
(Ahhh ahhh)
You were not the same after that
(Ahhh ahhh)
You were not the same after that
You see them drop like flies from the bright sunny skies
They come knocking at your door with this look in their eyes
You've got one good trick and you're hanging on you're hanging on...
To it
You took the word and made it heard
And eased the people's pain and for that
You were idolized,
The Immortalized
And you were not the same after that
Walking tall, you'd bought it all
And you were not the same after that
Till someone died on the waterslide
And you were not the same after that
You see them drop like flies from the bright sunny skies
They come knocking at your door with this look in their eyes
You've got one good trick and you're hanging on you're hanging on to it
(ooh ooh ooh ooh)
(YOU WERE NOT THE SAME!)
You see them drop like flies from the bright sunny skies
They come knocking at your door with this look in their eyes
You've got one good trick and you're hanging on you're hanging on
You've hanging on You're hanging on

OMG! I can't wait for that one.
I'm listening to Dark Side Of The Moon, by the Pink Floyd.
My wife and I also can't wait. I think it's already in cinemas in Japan. So it might take a year from now to make it to DVD.
Trivium - Ascendancy..... GREAT album!!
Lemon Demon: Damn Skippy
Incubus - Morning View
and in the car i got Da Nest - EPic
The contents of my stereo are mostly CDs left over from when my bro went to college. Currently, our lineup is:
-Coheed & Cambria
- by Various Artists
-Led Zeppelin
-Something called Anthallo's which I've never heard
-And Cake's
So there. I will customize the CDs to my liking later today. For instance, I don't particularly like Fusion 101 or even the name of Anthallo... so they go.
-Led Zeppelin
Ahh, D'yer Mak'er. One of my all time favorite Zeppelin songs.
Anyway, I've got The Beatles Anthology 1 playing, it's nice that some of this stuff was saved over the years.
HORSE the Band - Pizza.... just got it in the mail today
what other band has an EP all about pizza?! they even covered the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme for the cd

earlier i had Matisyahu - Youth playing, now i''m listening to Incubus - Morning View

Lol, Da Nest? WTF is that supposed to mean?
I listened to Histoires Sans Paroles, from Harmonium's album Si on Avait..something (If there were a fifth season) a few times during class today.
who cares what it's supposed to mean? DA Nest owns, and that's all that matters
Audioslave - Out of Exile
Focus: Hamburger Concerto.
Awesome! Focus is great. Another one of those quirky bands that I love so much.
Gray Cartridge -
Ask if you must...
Ask if you must...
Enlighten me (and possibly others) ;)
About a year ago my brother's band and several members of another band formed a newer, more other-est band to rule them all called "Grey Cartridge" whcih produced one album called "Clu Clu Chronicles" full of songs entirely parodying
Clu Clu Land and everything about it. There were songs about the Grizzle Grazzle, the two different Bubbles, Time Freezes, Assorted Fruits, Mystical Underwater Patterns, Whirlpools... you name it. It is possibly the most hilarious concept album I've ever listened to. Particularly because of the voice talents of some of the less major band members...
I'm listening to Merveilles by Malice Mizer. Its easily ther greatest album. If you want an introduction to Gackt, and his musical style, pick this one up to see how he started.
Trivium - Ascendancy.... i love this album.
Physical Graffitti. Kashmir is my theme song.
--The Doors. I love simplistic debut album titles .
Offspring - Smash
Ah, I had so forgot how wonderful this album is. "Bad Habit" is a wonderful driving song.
Incubus - Make Yourself. i think this is my favorite album.
Younha - Houkiboshi (single)
Haste the Day - When Everything Falls
HIM- Razorblade
NES ROMance (okay, hurl the insults.)
The Excello Story Vol. 3, Various Artists. Excello was a tiny label out of Tennessee that spawned a whole leigion of R&B artists that were promptly ripped off by bigger record companies.
i used to like that cd alot
now i can't stand it. haven't listened to it in over a year
anyways, Audioslave - Out of Exile
Weezer
(I just love that Buddy Holly song, reminds me of my youth)
Bad Company has a song called
Black Sabbath has a song called Black Sabbath on their album Black Sabbath, too.
In fact, Insert Name Here also had a song called Insert Name Here on their album Insert Name Here.
By the way, has anyone listened 'Leviathan' by Mastadon? I'm not usually interested in sludge metal, but the idea of a Moby Dick rock opera has me intrigued. Any good?
I know Mastodon is sometimes mentioned to be related to Progressive Rock, so you're gaurenteed to find some sliver of enjoyment.
I've been on a beatles kick for the last week, albums like Sgt. Pepper's and Let it Be getting heavy play. Definitely a irregularity in my average playlist, and it's pretty hard getting used to the idea of 2 minute songs when i'm used to tripping to 60-80 minute long suites. They were popular for a reason though, wonderful melodies.
Obituary - Frozen in Time
i think i'm going to download something by Mastadon, just because the genre "sludge metal." i have to know what it sounds like. the name is so stupid
Yeah, I'm not so sure what the hell "Sludge Metal" implies either.. To me it sounds almost like punk, just alot of shitty instruments played shittily at once to create a undefinable emotionless shitstorm.
Here's some Mastodon reading and info on some of their albums with reviews by fans..
Myself I've never heard them, so I can't give more info..
well i couldn't find any torrents that would download fast enough, so i figured they had a myspace.
they're not TOO bad i guess, i've heard worse, but i've deffinatly heard alot better. they're not really anything worth listening to though.
i still don't get the "sludge metal" thing though. i think it has something to do with me hearing/reading the word "sludge" and thinking of Grimer or Koffing (YES POKEMON! ) and the sound they make when they die in battle..... *RUNS OUT OF TOPIC QUICKLY!!*
Well, I tracked down a couple of tracks from Leviathan, then went out and bought the CD. I like 'em. As an added bonus, the album art is really nice, something I did not expect from something called "sludge" metal.
I've looked up sludge metal. Apparently it originated in Louisiana, and the original form could be described as doom metal, but gritty and swampy. Mastadon isn't actually sludge metal, though they been called "progressive sludge metal", though this definition isn't widely accepted.
I call BS on metal subgenres.
I've looked up sludge metal. Apparently it originated in Louisiana, and the original form could be
that makes it sound alot cooler!
right now i'm listening to Soundgarden - SuperUnknown
and in the car i got DA Nest - EPic.... check into them 'Newb, i think you might like it.
Shpongle - Dorset Perception
Basically love the first few symphonic moments in the beginning, the rest of the album is probably best left for LSD..
Soundgarden - Down on the Upside.... this is probably my favorite Soundgarden album. every song on it is great. it's not like they have any bad songs though. this is just a great album.
Misfits - Collection II.... to get me in the moode for Halloween . i could listen to the song Halloween II all day long
Lords Of Acid - Voodoo U
I had forgotten how wonderful this cd is.
Rush - A Farewell to Kings.... the song Xanadu is excellent
Days Of Future Passed--The Moody Blues...another good one to play during RPG's.
Golden Earring - The Best of....

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits
OK, this is strange...
Red Hot Chili Peppers-One Hot Minute
After a long time of keeping myself away from Thick as a Brick (after literally playing it a hundred of times in a space of a month) I nearly dropped tears onto my lap i was so overwhelmed. I just cant believe how retardedly amazing it is.
It just never gets old, does it?
OK, this is strange...
Red Hot Chili Peppers-One Hot Minute
hahaha nice! although it'd be alot stanger if we were listening to the same album
Soundgarden - Down on the Upside.... i love it! soooo many good songs!
Bump of Chicken - Yggdrasil
Unfortunately my good friend.. it does.
But when you come back to it later on, WOW!
and "japenese punk" huh.. Heh.
Better than the sorry state of American "punk".
yah rite d00d greenday ownz!!!1!
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze.... i haven't listened to this in awhile, i started to miss it
even though i couldnt bring myself to listen to something with japanese vocals, I bet it's 100X better than ANYTHING american in the past thirty years.
i wouldn't go THAT far....
I would.
Now I'm listening to Duel of the Jester and the Tyrant.. Return to Forever's 1976 album
NES ROMantic Warrior.
Amazing bass, guitar, and keyboards.
Just listen to Balzac. You can't tell WHAT the hell language they're singing in, other than garbled marblemouth slurry.
bleh.... Balzac.... i'll just say i don't like them too much
Yeah, a group named after a scrotum doesn't appeal much to me, either.
Anyway, Led Zeppelin Box Set 1, all 4 CD's. Bonzo, whyd'cha have to suck down all that vodka??
Basshunter- Boten Anna (Anna the Bot) CD single.
Dragon Quest VI Phantom World on Piano
Yeah, a group named after a scrotum doesn't appeal much to me, either.

Hurray for dismissing a band because of what you interpereted their name as. jewish christ dude.
Genesis - Selling England By the Pound
Unearth - The Stings of Conscience
Right now I am enjoying Meat Loaf: Bat out of Hell III.
Yeah, a group named after a scrotum doesn't appeal much to me, either.

Anyway, it's The Best Of Muddy Waters, the song is "Hoochie Coochie Man."
Eh, I was just pointing it it was a unnecessary and lame joke.
Nektar - A Tab in the Ocean

That girl has a very lovely voice.
All That Remains, all three albums. Great band.

Malice Mizer- Voyage ~sans retour~
I listen to Mr Children's new album "Home" and Younha's first Korean album "gobaekhagi joheun nar" while finishing my thesis.
Deadline is in 2 weeks.
The only "recent" album I've ever liked.
And she's Haley.
It is awesome.
I've been playing this CD a shitload lately, along with all Rilo Kiley albums. I fuckin love Jenny Lewis.
Anybody else have a Last.fm??
I wanted to try last.fm, but it seems my connection is too slow?
I listened to a few songs and most of them stopped for buffering.
If you register and download the software, can you adjust the bitrate there?
Just download the client, set it to use either iTunes/Foobar/WMP, whenever I play a song, it takes about 1 minute for a 5 minute song or whatever, and it just adds it to your profile. There isn't any buffering as far as I know. It counts down in the client, when it reaches 0:00, the track is scrobbled to your last.fm page. I'm pretty sure even 32k dial up users with WebTV could use this easily.
That's nice. Thanks for the info. Even my connection is a bit faster than a 32k dial-up.
I just went to the page to try it and the streaming there didn't work too well.
Maybe I'll give it a try and download it.
Are you talking about the streaming songs on artist pages? Nobody really uses that. There isn't any streaming involved with Last.fm besides the free songs, which fucking suck. It's meant to track your listening habits.
To test it, the page told me to enter my favourite artist. I entered it, then the page started to play songs from various "similar" artists. Those songs were streamed.
On the artists's pages you can only listen to 30 seconds of each song as far as I remember.
Yeah, that has nothing to do with the concept of Last.FM. It tracks what you listen to on your computer, sampling songs is just a stupid bonus feature. I have no idea why you're basing anything on the sample tracks.
I thought sample tracks should give you an idea of the actual thing. That's what samples are for originally...
Are you feeling OK manuel? Before this I had no inclination to believe you had mental health problems but I'm starting to wonder now.
LAST FM is meant to track your listening habits on your computer, with your own music stored on your hard disk drive.
I have absolutely no idea why you are even bothering with the online streaming.
First, I don't like the tone of what you're saying.
Second, I thought of it as an internet radio station. Why? Because it lets me listen to songs on their homepage.
I'm quite busy at the time and I didn't feel like reading through the whole homepage of last.fm.
I only skimmed through it.
One quote from the page:
"we use it to create personalised radio stations"
I thought they'd deliver me content I might be interested in. That's where I got that idea.
If it's only going to track my listening habits then I most certainly won't install that.
I know what I'm listening to, I don't need a site to tell me that. It reeks a bit of spyware btw.
Please, back on topic gentlemen. ^_^
Gackt- Redemption (EP) I got the cool one with the DVD.
Thanks, EvilNES.
And don't forget, we're not gentlemen, but gentle nerds.
Is this new Gackt single anything like his "Love Letter" album? I really enjoyed that.
I am mad with the lack of Black Label Society in this thread.
Funny thing you said that. I was supposed to go to their show this Sunday at Croc Rock. It's like a 5 minute drive for me.
Anyways, right now I'm listening to a bunch of random stuff from Ben Harper to Red Hot Chili Peppers to the Dropkick Murphy's.
WTF? I posted in this thread and issued a partial apology to manuel, then it's gone!?
anyway, I use Last.fm to browse through neighbors and friends, then I discover new artists. it's been pretty effective so far.
Thanks, EvilNES.

It actually sounds alot like his Diabolos album, whichI think is his best work.

Your post was gone?
Maybe it has to do something with a forum downtime yesterday?
There was about an hour yesterday at night I couldn' access the forums. One post I was trying to send off wasn't posted as it seems...
So basically you use last.fm what I use the jpopsuki tracker and online radio stations for, to discover new songs you may like.
From my vinyl vaults:
Hey Aaron, I'm with you. BLS rules!
EvilNES, that was the first album I ever got. My parents took my sisters and I to a record store when I was 5. They bought Michael Jackson and I got Twisted Sister, Stay Hungry.
I used to play the album on a Fischer Price record player. My mom said I would blast a song about Hell or something all the time (Burn in Hell, favorite track).
Yeah, that album is awesome. I have a soft-spot for wierd looking bands and Hair Metal. I still cant believe your parents let you listen to metal at 5 but I guess its the parents. I try blasting Eve of destiny or KMFDM and they get Uber pissed (yep and at 20 too).
Well, my sweet Fischer Price record player would only go so loud.
I don't see a problem with them letting me listen to it. I see parents nowadays letting their children listen to crap, I mean rap. Can't get much worse than songs (if you can call them that) that refer to doing drugs, killing people, and fucking bitches.

Most rappers rap about Cannabis, which is a wonderful and rewarding substance used in the right hands.. LEGALIZE!!
Cannabis is not a drug. It's an herb.
I don't know if I'm the only person on this board who is excited for the new release/regrouping of the Smashing Pumpkins and the new album Zeitgeist... but the single for the album was just released to radio stations today, and somebody ripped it and put it online. The best quality version I could find was on the front page of
Anyway, download/listen, what do you think?
Dammit the song was removed. >.<
I do -

Daft Punk are amazing House musicians. There Live tracks are bloody amazing as well, Homework and Discovery are my favorite albums by them.
White Stripes - Icky Thump, it's pretty pwnage.
Just finished listening to Shot to Hell by Black Label Society, very disappointing compared to the other albums. Hopefully Black Label Society's next album is better.
Harmonium - Si On Avait Besoin D'une 5ieme Saison
Currently listening to the album "Are You Dead Yet?" by Children of Bodom. Amazing album I recommend it.
Queen platinum hits.
That's some good music there.
Made me want to listen, too.
Yeah, Queen rules. Too bad Freddie Mercury died...
my friend said that if he had a time machine he'd go back in time. and give freddie mercury like 1000 condoms.
Queen is my favorite band by like 3 million.
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out
my friend said that if he had a time machine he'd go back in time. and give freddie mercury like 1000 condoms.

Dude, he didn't get aids from gay secks. He got it from using a dirty needle. Jeez get the facts stright. ;D
Can't say I remember hearing about him being a drug addict. I think it may well be that he had unprotected sex. It has been said that he was bisexual, because of a long relationship with a woman by the name of Mary Austin (whom got half his fortune after his death), but that may well be because he wanted to hide the fact that he was gay. Who knows?
All that matters is that he was one of the best singers/musicians ever lived on this planet.
Lol, nice. By a chance do you enjoy Rush?
yes.

I really want to see that stage production in Toronto called "We Will Rock You". Anyways he died pretty quickly from Aids then?
He was HIV-Positive for a while, then the AIDS emerged. I know that he made the song "The Show Must Go On" while he was aware that he had the desease. I think that was like a good bye from him as a singer.
Best song by Queen by far. Too bad he passed away, I seen a tribute Queen band live once, they were really good.
