How did you come up with your "username"?

I didn't see a thread on this, so if there is one, I deeply apologize.

I was just wondering why people chose the names they did for their usernames. Is it something that was made up on the spot or maybe a childchood nickname that stuck? What is the hidden meaning (if there is one)?

I chose mine for the obvious reason that I have a love for Barbie, and my sister would sometimes call me "Jenni Girl".

BTW, I'm sure I've pretty much figure out why "David" goes by that username.

Since Star Tropics is one of my favorite games, I decided to use it as my username.

I had this nickname since I was in Grade 5. I was naming things off at the top of my head... And so I thought Aaron+Air=airfiggy!

Old nickname. No one calls me it anymore (except for my sister sometimes) but i've been using online since the early days.

Well, obviously I came up with my username because I think that the NES rules! I don't quite remember why I wanted to use it, I was really new at this stuff when I first saw this web site...

well andrewg my first name is andrew and my last name is gardikis, so i just put that for short. if the name is already taken, i would most likely have a name like "marioman" or "mariomaster " or something like that, because i am good at mario games.

I had a choice of two names Bad Dog or El Asso wipo i picked Bad Dog.

Generally I always use "Kamashi (Japanese for Sickle Death/), Kamashi-San/Kun/Chan, Orion Kamashi" But for one day I figured I'd change it up. Since I saw alot of NES related names (NES Luke, NESGOD), and Decided, "how about a little wordplay?" so I picked "EvilNES"

Well, Megaman is awesome, but since I'm not a guy, I couldn't very well be Megaman, so I opted for Roll. And NES-Luke helped me pick it out.

I got my screen name from a song by a band named Acid Bath. "touboabkoomi" is what the African's called American durring the time they were being transported to be slaves. It roughly translates into "land of white cannibals"

I have always liked Carnage more than Venom.

Several years ago when I was 17 or 18 I created a rather inappropriate super hero called Legume Man who was the star of a series of stories I wrote for English class. These stories were mildly disturbing and resulted in concerned notes sent to my parents. For that reason I won't go into any detail about the content of these stories.

From there Legume Man continued to linger in my psyche and I nearly began a small record label with the name Legume Man Productions. Although the idea was eventually scrapped Legume Man remained and always will remain an intergral part of who I am as a person.

My name is essentially me brainstorming a unique name that sounds like the worst possible physical creature. Thats about the size of it. I thought it sounded cool then, but its mainly because its an easy to remember alias.

Well, My Name Is Javier and they call me Javi, so thats where Javi comes from. The 92 Comes from 1992 which is the year I was Born In.

Making The Name:

I like NES and I was thinking of an insane name to go into it.

I had an older more..well known nick in the Nes Scene. I am back after a 6 month hiatus though. I am having a hell of a time finding my old friends!

This nick comes from being an Atlus fanboy.

MY username came from the "three-letter initials" I used to enter in arcade high scores lists for certain games.
I would always use , whereas other idiots would always put something like "SEX" or "ASS" or "DIK" or "GAY" and whatever.

I noticed how everyone on message boards and stuff tried to tweak their SN's by doing weird things like using "leet," I tryed to do the same and thought of the word energy at the time and the end result came up with a shortened version of energy to nrg

If I could change it, it might be somthing like Animosity_121 or somthing . . .

I used to have "NES-dude" as a user name (how creative ). I got sick of it so I just went by what most people called me on forums "Nez"... so, it's my new user name.
