Slipknot has a new Live CD/DVD called "9.0: Live" to be released 11/01/2005! Slipknot is my fav. band of all time so I had to make a post informing the good ppl of NES Files of a new CD drop. Cory Taylor has the best vocals ever known to mankind. any Slipknot or Stone Sour fans?

I've seen Slipknot live twice but to be honest I'm not really into metal all that much these days so have kind of lost interest.

I liked their first album alot. It was pretty solid, and had some well put-together tunes. Iowa was... okay. I didn't like the lyrical content personally. Alot of it didn't really make any sense. Ever since their second album I really don't listen to them. I lost my copy of the first CD, or I would be listening to that, believe me As for that guy being the greatest vocalist of all time... I think Kerry King from Slayer was quoting as saying that in the past too. I really don't see it personally. I mean, there are SO many vocalist out there that are much better. In that respect, Freddy Mercury gets my vote. THAT is a vocalist.

Slipknot is such a kiddie band. I was at the mall the other day and seen pre-packaged Slipknot Halloween costumes?!?!

They will put a logo on anything to get your money!

Stone Sour is cool, yes, but Slipknot... no. They had one good song :Wait and Bleed. But other than that... that screamy type of music (heavy metal) isn't my cup of tea. I prefer the angsty "nu-metal" that is KoRn, Evanescence, Linkin Park (if you could consider them nu-metal), and Disturbed.

Hopefully "9.0: Live" fixed all the annoying bugs and glitches that plagued version 8.0.

I saw Slipknot live way back in 1999. Unfortunately back then I had no idea who they were so didn't really pay much attention (plus I had "Primus" on my mind, who was playing later that show).


But Slipknot "nu-metal" (they're just louder and more aggressive).


I think they fall in the category of "boy band/pop".

But yeah, I like 'em as far as nu-metal goes. Probably one of my favorite new metal bands right now.

I can't reallly listen to any song under 10 minutes long. i can't have them changing so fast! And i don't really like metal, but some is Okay.

that pretty much what i have to say, except.... i didn't lose my cd, i just don't listen to it anymore. Iowa turned me away from them. as for Corey Taylor being the bes vocalist? PSH! i can't Chris Cornell is the best vocalist, but he's deffinatly better than Corey Taylor.... Chris Cornell kinda dissappoints me with his new stuff (Audio Slave) but when he was in Soundgarden he kicked so much ass
