anyone else here into vinyls? I have just now got into them. Im going to try and win a record player off ebay. I never knew how many newer bands have vinyls out. I want the Slipknot LP on vinyl, that would rock hard. and some AC/DC and even some Mobb Deep. oh yeah, I got something other than video games to collect now.

Yeah, I got loads. All of the good prog/Rock Stuff: Yes, The Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Boston, Supertramp,Joe walsh/James Gang, about 6 from each of those bands, (Excluding boston cause they quit after they became millionaires on thier first two albums ) And alot of others. I'm am quite fortunate my dad was a Yeshead back in the day. Thats how i discovered Yes.

Yeah, and be careful when your bidding on a record player on ebay. If the needle is damaged at all, your farked. ANd they cost alot of $$$

Ha actually I only have two records. That one and Soulfly's Primitive. Both are limited edition picture discs which is why I got them. I don't even have a record player to play them on! I just have them out on display seeming as I think they look pretty cool.

I don't have any. My parents have a few cool records though. I can't see myself getting into buying vinyl (too cheap to buy a record player) I have a few friends who are "into" buying vinyl.

You should expect to replace the stylus/needle on any used turntable. Really, you should replace your needle about once a year.

And unless you're using some sort of ridiculously high-end audiophile turntable, or have a taste for old and exotic needles, this item shouldn't require an excessive amount of funds.

It cost me 120.00 To change the needle on my Kickass turntable..

You got me really curious, what sorta turntable and needle are you using?

Its a old Pioneer with alot of 'Niftys' On it. I don't remember the name of the needle, its sitting in my garage right now.

Because i Have two, ANd that particular one is in the garage for when me and my dad work on stuff.

I got me a free turntable today. I went in to the place where I traded my NES dupes off and asked if he ever got any record players in, and he said "I've got one in the back you can _have_". it needs a belt and an amp, but the needle is good, so it's a whole lot better that where I was (nothing at all)

it's a Hitachi HT-12, if anyone happens to have a spare belt around...

i collect records too i got about 1000 of them i got alot of differnt stuff like from slayer to merle haggard, most came from garage sales or thrift stores,

i got 3 record players and this one is the sweetest

beleive it or not i got it at an estate sale for 1 dollar it has the owners manual and the protective plastic was still on the chrome stripping i dont think it was ever used, the lights flash to the music

bad ass deal. $1 buck for a cool looking record player. I might have to go to a state sale one day.

Wow! $1? That's a damn good deal. I got my first LP today. It's a copy of David Bowie's "Scary Monsters and Super Creeps" Now I just need a turntable.
