Just some of my observations.....
So I was watching the news (like I'm constantly doing) and they had that Brett Favre guy (GBP football) and he was going off on the things they need now in the hurricane affected areas. First he was going off on how they are in dire need of generators to run air conditioning because of the humidity/heat. And also they need to run those generators so they can have "hot" showers. Now is this just me but if it's that damn hot out why the hell would you want to take a hot shower????!?! I would want it as cold as humanly possible.
Also I was watching local news last night and they had this dumb ass lady who was going on about gas prices. She made the comment (and this isn't the first time that I heard this one either) that our gas prices are quickly catching up with Europe's gas prices. What these total morons forget to think about is that yes, Iceland for example maybe charging you (converted to US dollars) $7.00 a Liter for some gas but they (and other European countries) pay accordingly (for example as gas station clerk over there makes about $12 and hour STARTINTG when converted to US dollars). Plus the US is so spread out you have to drive farther to work than in most countries.
Also the media keeps on going on about how they told these people to leave and that they should have done so. Well, how are they supposed to know that this warning is for real when ever time there is a storm (or any other natural disaster) the media hypes it all up to be worse than it is (FOX NEWS is GREAT at this). How are you supposed to take what they say seriously??
I don't know, I'm just sick of these halfwits whom deliver the news I guess. Anyone else?
I agree. Although that hurricane katrina did not look very pleasant. 30' of water in some places.
No doubt George Bush will blame the hurricane on Bin Laden.
No doubt George Bush will blame the hurricane on Bin Laden.[/quote
hey we don't say the name Bin laden around here.... his name is you know who.
Haha hilarious.
heheheheheheh u guys are funny.
That is why i quit watching and hearing the news because its all a bunch of BS and negativity.
Agreed, but thats only with alot of the commercial/popular stations. Local stations or lesser known stations don't tend to be as bad.
Sorry if I offended anybody with the old George Bush comment.
I'm sure you didn't offend anyone. Everyone here has the common sense (and intelligence) to realize that Bush is a dipstick.
Ah, well, I don't like him but I didn't want to offend anyone that might like him (You never know)
If you all don't quit saying bad things about me I'm gonna kick all yer sorry anti-social liberal britches back across the ocean to mexico.
with warmest regards,
~George W. Bush
Hmmmm... David, or Barbiejenni girl.. That is the question. Mods, tell us who it is!
Does anyone really have to ask?
Z.E.N.?
Welcome to the board George. We have bought you this gift as a sign of our appreciation for all you have done in the last 5 years.
Damn and my mom said I'd never get anywhere posting on these forums, seems to me like I just met George dubbyaa.
P.S. Brett Favre is a god.
Hold on Daynum, don't give that to him yet...
There, that seems more suiting.
Good paint job, roth That would be better, now it can get stuck in his throat easier!
Hahahahahaha , wooooo. Sadly that was the most exciting thing I saw all night
I know I sound dumb, but really, Roth, who is it? Whatever happened to Saddam? He was on the Vote for Airfiggy in '08 but he only made one post! He needs to come back. And yeah Bush does suck. Anarchy rules! But back to subject(which I was kind of on anyway, but whatever) nice job with the paint, Roth. And BTW, whoever is Saddam(the username not the actual one) needs to put under location: Shhh... I'm hiding under G. W. Bush's bathroom sink! And for whoever is doing Bush is doing a great jorb in mocking him. The whole pretzel thing: genious!
And to be compltely logical about it, there probably wouldn't be internet because nobody would work because why work when you can steal whatever you need?
You know me, just pointing out the blatenly obvious!
Yah they tell them to leave and now there not letting them leave after the hurricane hit
First off, anarchy does not always mean total destruction. There is more than one definition. And besides, whats wrong with anarchy?
If you want to be even more technical about it how can "anarchy rule" when there are no rules in anarchy (duh).
And also according to the Oxford American Dictionary/and Merriam Webster's Dictionary, Anarchy, is
1. absence of government and control, resulting in lawlessness.
2. disorder; confusion
So now are you going to explain to me why there would still be internet and why your house WOULDN'T be looted?
If you all don't quit saying bad things about me I'm gonna kick all yer sorry anti-social liberal britches back across the ocean to mexico.
with warmest regards,
~George W. Bush
Haha! Yea right! Bush, u suck! I would've voted 4 kerry if I wasnt 13
There wouldn't be anyone selling pretzels for a start.
Webster's is only book-smart. I'm talking in a street-smart definition. I am mainly book, so don't judge me. That is not the definition of "rules" I meant. So, (back to book-smarts) let's see, what does Webster's say about ? Let's see:
1) to have absolute authority
2) to be at a specified rate or level; prevail
both of those would be used correctly. One maybe better than the other, depends on how you look at it. And why must you always correct everyone about every little thing??? Don't you think it gets on people's nerves?! BTW, I have Webster's College Edition dictionary, too. Let's see what mine says:
Anarchism:
1) The theory that all forms of government interfer unjustly with individual libertyand are therefore undesirable.
2) resistance, somethimes by rerrorism, to organized government.
I was using the first definition of Anarchism. Definately not the second. I'm no terrorist nor do I like terrorism.
Funny, out of the 50 or so people that acually post, your about the only person I've had to correct (except that one time I had to dig up what jambalaya was). Could it be that the other people in this forum are somewhat a bit more educated (I'm leaning towards "yes" on this one)? If nobody ever corrects you than you never learn.
Besides I was being facetious (oh, you might need to look that one up) about the "rules" part.
As for the anarchy part; I just don't think you quite understand the ramifications of a society that is in an anachistic state.
You know what, I thought out of all the people here that you would be one of the only few that wouldn't result to name-calling or insults to win an argument. I honestly thought you had better manners and had more intelligence than that. BTW that was the perfect time to be "facetious" because it was not at a good time. Who cares if I had to look a word up. I honestly have no shame in looking up words I don't know because I know I don't know everything. I don't have the best or most impressive vocabulary, but it lets me say what I want to say. You won't be able to convince me to believe your theory, mainly because I am VERY stubborn, but you did manage to teach me a new word or two, and I thank you for that. But on the anarchy and rules thing, I am still staying with my explanation.
I do read a lot compared to my classmates. I read about ten times as much as they do(even though that doesn't say much). And if you had read my revision of my post, you will see that I was much nicer.
I'm glad you had to look up the word; because then you are acually learning something (and that is a positive thing). Even I have to look up words occasionally (for example I had to look up "midden" the other day). I'm not trying to be a mean person, I just don't always go about the best way to educate people.
You mean "actually"? No, I'm just kidding. ) and probably something else, but I cannot speak for you.
