Hey i recently registered to this site. Im not new to NES ROMs believe me. I was wondering whats with the little icon characters from mario under everyones names. Like ive seen Koopa Troopers Koopa Paratroopers and I think im a Goomba? anyway what do they represent and how do i change mine??? anyone have any ideas???

They change with post count, users cannot manually change them.

Bowser = 2000 posts (currently only manuel has reached this)

Hammer Brother = 1000 posts (I believe Roth and myself are the only ones currently at this level)

Lakitu = 500 (I think?)

Koopa Paratrooper = ???

Koopa Trooper = ???

Goomba = anything less than Koopa Trooper.

I believe it's still the same as that.

I also still think the rank image should be on the same line as the character's name rather than under it. It almost looks like users have two avatars.

Yeah, there is a list somewhere on the board, but I also don't remember right, but after a little search, here you are:


Goomba - 0-24
Koopa Troopa - 25-199
Koopa Paratroopa - 200-499
Lakitu - 500-999
Hammer Bros. - 1000-1999
Bowser - 2000+

hey thnx everyone. i kno im still new to the site(in case u couldnt see the goomba lol) but i plan to stay here a while. I just got into the whole NES ROM emulator thing, but i have always been into video games and computers. Ok well thnx again. Happy gaming!

For 5000 we could put luigi and for 10000 or sumthin we could have mario. that way we can stay in the nintendo and the Mario Brothers theme.

I think that the Mario after 5000 posts idea was a great idea. So that we don't have to wait all too long after Bowser. Anyway, I don't have to worry about it yet, I'm still a koopa troopa.
