Mitch will be missed. RIP
Wow, thanks for this. I was a huge Hedberg fan but never had the chance to see these videos.
"I got a belt on that holds up my pants. And my pants have belt loops that hold up my belt. What the hell is really going on down there? Who is the real hero?"
Hahaha, that's one I haven't heard before.
Mitch Hedberg was a comic genius. I didn't discover his work until just this year.
"I want to hang a map of the world in my house. I'm going to put pins in all the locations that I've travelled to.
But first I'm going to have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down."
That was my favorite one.
His low key persona and rapid delivery will surely be missed.
I uploaded a couple of his last Late Show appearances.
Enjoy.
It's offical...
It just pisses me off that all the cool people die from overdoses and pieces of trash like my mom's boyfriend somehow skirt death.
The cocaine part just doesn't make sense, is it just me or was he a "laid" back kind of guy? If he was a coke head he's be rambling and the speed of the micromachine man.
I was angry when I found out it was a drug overdose. Then I thought about it. Doing drugs was a part of his lifestyle, and so was his comedy. Would his strange sense of humour have existed without the drugs? Maybe, but I'm not going to be pissed off about it. I'm sad I won't get to hear any fresh material of his again though.
That's exactly how I feel. No use in feeling bad about the situation.
I have no respect for those who to end their own lives (be it through drug abuse or suicide). However, I WILL certainly miss his comedy.
I guess in a way, "drugs" really have done good things for people.
Bill Hicks was right...
