Cool Finds

I have a suggestion. Every once in a while, someone finds something unique, makes a thread about it, and in a few days, the thread is abandoned. My idea is that we compile our finds into this thread. It could be anything. A unique, free program you found online, a funny article, or a flash movie (manuel, I'm looking at you).

Just an idea.

Here you go, a good program... and it's FREEWARE at that.

It's called Irfanview. You can do alot of stuff with images with it. I know that all the programs out now are way better, but this has some cool features.

You can do a batch conversion, like select a multitude of pics, say, in .bmp format, and convert them all to .gif format in a click. It can be a very handy tool.

I'm fine with a "1 thread for all", but not everyone will go with that.
I understand the problem, that new threads about finds will be forgotten soon, but that's the nature of a board.
But sometimes there is the possibility that you have very long conversations about one cool find and you can't do that in such a "container"-thread.
There will always be newbies who make new threads about stuff although there is already one.
I think everybody is free to make a topic about something he thinks is worth it.

I know, ( I myself made a thread for a soda constructor), but I was just throwing an idea out there. I kind of figured this thread would be ignored, actually. So I was pleasantly surprised.

On to the next subject, I like Seanbaby and Maddox, too, but they have offensive stuff there, so if anyone doesn't know them, be warned!

I was watching the Three Amigos (again), and I got to the part where Steve Martin is up on the billboard, trying to get Martin Short's and Chevy Chase's attention.

Well, for the first time, I looked at the billboard.

It was advertising for a movie called "The Dueling Cavalier". Now, the Three Amigos was set in the silent movie era. And, as any fan of (American) classic movies should know, the comedy classic "Singing in the Rain" was also set in the silent movie era.

Here's the clincher: in "Singing in the Rain", the main characters are actors. The large portion of the movie is showing them working on a movie orginally called , until it's changed to "The Dancing Cavalier".

So, the Three Amigos was definitely making an homage to another comedy classic.

25MB are no problem with dial-up. It just takes time. And you should use a download manager that can resume downloads.

I don't know, I'm so sick of my god damn computers not working. My laptop won't connect to the internet through LAN, just wireless, and it spazzes all the time. My home computer (it's old, but not old) won't play GIFs or flash, and even though a sound card is installed, it won't play sound.

Today I went to a Mall, Called "Metro Mall" or something. Anyways I found a game I was looking for and alot of neat stores there. There was this booth that sold Video Game Soundtracks Japanese ones, they had two Zelda CD's one Windwaker soundtrack and other Majora's mask. They had tons of Square Enix Soundtracks too, the coolest one I guess was the Chorno Trigger one, 2 disks. The CD's start at $15. All imports. They had some other Anime stuff very nice booth.

Hope those were originals and not bootlegs from Taiwan or HK.

I checked it and there was no virus's thats a good thing. How many NES ROMs such as GB,GBC,Nes,Snes,SMS,Genesis,GBA can fit onto a 1GB Hard Drive?

Uhh.. I checked my ROMS folder. I have over 950 NES ROMs and it takes less than 200Mb. So I think you can hold quite a bit. I didn't check any other systems but I can't imagine they would take up all THAT much more.

There's a clothing area, a book area, and a children's area.
