Ok, today this 4th grader went to my class to present a project about game history. I got POed because he had the history off. People believed everything he said. I got POed also because he brought one of those fake Ataris that cost 30 dollars at Wal-mart and said it was a real Atari. Anything like that ever happen to any of you before? He took my title away and he got %50 of the facts wrong!

Yeah, it's never cool to get your thunder stolen. But, at least you know the facts... I think (you do visit NES Files! ha!). Just have the pride that you know better. There's no need to get upset about someone who knows less than you. By the way, what kind of facts did he twist around?

Also, I'd say that the release of the Atari Flashback is a real system, considering that it was released by the company themselves. At least it's not a pirate copy. You're right though, it's not the REAL 2600. The coolest part about it is the fact that they released Saboteur on it! It's awesome that they did that!

Tell me about it. It totally sucked, on a ride back from a jazz band gig one of our players had SMB3 for GBA (WHY NINTENDO?!). Everyone, I repeat, EVERYONE thought they were hot shit and yet they couldn't beat the first level of World 5 (I on the other hand, do rushes against my friends on the game). I was a bit too tired to play, all the same it was pretty pathetic, like blind people pretending to see.

I can sympathize: Yes, it does suck to see so many people treat the NES as old and decrepid (I wanted to bring my NES to my cousin's, his reply was "Thats pretty old man, I don't think so"). You just have to present the information that's there, and not worry so much about the people who won't care one way or the other how good the NES is. The more of them there are, the cheaper NES Games are.

This kid said PS2 was made in 2001 and GCN and X-Box were made in 2000! X-box was released in America in Oct, 2001 GCN was released in America in Nov, 2001 PS2 was realesed in America in 1999!

i just sit there and laugh in my head when people at my school talk about video games because most of them are xbox sports gamers.... every once in awhile some one will say "hey remember the NES?" and they'll say how the controllers were so huge.... yet the xbox controller is WAY bigger and that's what they play now, you'd think, if they knew anything about what they wer talking about they'd say how SMALL the nes controller is, not how BIG it is

also, just about everytime i wear my Castlevania shirt, i'll get "have you even played that game?!" the first time someone said that to me, it came from a kid that thought symphony of the night was the first Castlevania game.... i was like yeah actually i have, and i listed all the Castlevania games i have, the kid kind of just shut up and never said anything about it again

I agree with you campkill1387. When ever I where my "Know your Roots" shirt with the picture of a NES on it, someone always says. "What is that". And then I tell them, and they say, "I bet it copies off X-Box, and then, I laugh.

Yeah, I ket kids who thought that GBA and PS2 were the only game consles. I'm still mad that the kid was off %50.

Today, I really saw how a sad site. My best friend was sick today, and I talk to him about new games, and older games for NES, SNES, N64, and PS. Well, I started to talk to some people other people today about some games, and they saw my NES controller keychain. They were like, "is that a PS1, or N64 controller, since they were the first systems," !!!

In their judgement (by the way I hate people like this) the people who honestly think that a certain system was "first" are probably just .

I mean, me personally, I wouldn't know really anything about the Atari 2600 if I didn't have such a love of video games and read about it / researched it (I now collect Atari games )

The people who go ahead pretending to know everything though... that's what ticks me off.

All my friends think that the Playstation was the first console, that is, until I infromed them otherwise. But seriously guys, that really makes me kinda peeved off when they dont know what came before. I plan on burning all of their consoles and replacing them with an Atari or Coleco.. Heh.
