I think that this game is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you like DDR and you like to play guitar, or just attempt to like me , you'll love this game! I have Easy, Medium, Hard, and Almost Expert (6 songs to go) beat already!!!! I bought it about four days ago.

Has anyone else played this? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Huh? What? A guitar game?! sound awesome. What's the system? I'm not sure what "DDR" is.

DDR is "". You know, the games with the dance mats.

There isn't much exercise involved with Guitar Hero. Only if you throw yourself around the room in some rock'n'roll guitar solo frenzy will you burn the calories.

I wanted it the minute I saw it on Tech TV. I failed miserably at learning to play the actual guitar (probably due to the fact the person teaching me was my boyfriend) and feel I could excel at this. .
I haven't seen this game at any retail store (I haven't gone to a video game store lately though).

I forgot to mention how I got turned on to this game. I just saw people playing it at Best Buy and gave it a shot. I started looking all over for it prepared to pay $70 for the guitar + $50 for the game

You would probably have no trouble with this game Jenni. I suck at playing the guitar but I am damn good at this game.

You obviosly haven't played it on Expert...... Your fingers have to move so fast that you have got to be burning calories

i got it, play it on expert, i beat Cowboys from hell expert but that damn Bark at the Moon.

That Bark at the Moon is tough! I'm glad I'm not the only one that has problems with that song! Cowboys from hell wasn't too hard though.

It's been sitting on the shelf at the NEX for $70 tempting me each time I walk through the games section. I may have to pick it up.

I just bought this tonight. It is so freaking fun!!!! I so kick ass (or at least I think I do). I'm on the third set of songs and haven't gotten less than a 95% on my first try.

It's so "Frequency" with a guitar!

EDIT: I finished it on "easy". Stayed with 95% or better except for that damned Queens of the Stone Age song (87%). I think it f'd it up so bad because I didn't put the guitar down once the whole way through the easy level, and my fingers were killing me.

The husband stared in awe over my uber fake guitar talent.

And to think, he was the naysayer saying I shouldn't buy it. Peh.

Everything is beat. I only have 1 song left to beat on EXPERT mode.... Bark at the Moon. Just tried like three times and got 98% through it !!!!!!

I have all the EXTRA songs beat on medium I just gotta beat them all on hard and expert, but that is just for "100% completion". But that shouldn't take too long.

How far are you Jenni? or anyone else playing?

I finished all the medium bonus songs (and opened up the reaper and other dude)
I'm working on both hard and expert (though I'm only a couple songs on expert) and on the third group of songs on hard.

Sadly I can only play a couple days a week (on my days off) due to my hards hurting after work. Plus I've been sidetracked by brain age.

That bites. Hard/Expert is the most addictive part of the game. Actually makes you feel like you are playing a guitar

I also forgot to mention that I beat Cowboys from Hell with a 66% !!!!

they've announced sequels already. and i cant wait.

I'd like to see a Banjo version. It would have to include a two-player "duelling Banjo's" option.
If they want to stick with Guitars, they should have "stairway to heaven" on the new one.

they're supposedly making certain ones , like say a country one, or Metal, or other things. and they're might be a bass one too.

I beat this game about three weeks ago!! I beat all the extra songs on expert as well. For 90% of the songs on expert I don't even need to use star POWer .

I guess not having a computer gave me a little more time to play games .

I Used to play this game a few years ago when It was called Guitar Freaks (konami made more music games than DDR, and I've played all of them.). The only difference was GF had 3 buttons instead of 5.

I heard you can get "Guitar God" status for getting 5 stars on all songs on EXPERT so I had to give it a shot. For sets 1-4 I am about 1 more replay from getting 5 stars... Set 6 is gonna be a b i t c h.

Well, that turned out to be a lie, but with this extra money coming next month, and seeing as how it's (slowly) going down a bit in price, I think now I can get it. That, and the Tomb Raider Legend game.
Does this one take a lot of space on the memory card? That is one reason why I backed out of "The Sims" games.

I don't know... I usually don't pay attention to that stuff. But that is probably why I am always cursing when I get a new game and it says "insufficient space on Memory Card". Check back with this post by tomorrow, I will "edit" in how much it takes up.

I have like 4 PS2 memory cards.. 3 mostly full. I need to just buckle down and buy a 32Mb (official, not 3rd party crap). If anyone has one, i'd be interested

I updated my progress from an hour play after work... An hour seems like alot but I only really played those songs once, maybe twice.

And Toddvania, it takes 199 KB of memory.

OK, thanks. That's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Just another update on my Guitar Hero pwnage. All the new additions are blue. I Only have three more of the EXTRA songs to beat with 5 stars as well... So I would guess I will have this mission completed by the time Guitar Hero II is released, at least I hope to.
