Xbox Collection
I know this might ruffle some feathers but since I got my Xbox, Im gunna collect Xbox games (along with NES and Game Cube dont worry). So far all I have is Halo but Im winning so far with a bid on ebay for
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and I'd really like to get my hands on Jet Set Radio Future. Anyone else here got an Xbox or do I stand alone? lol
I have an Xbox and i also have Jet Set Radio Future i've had 2 Xbox systems and they have always worked perfect i play on my 32 inch Flat Screen
Hooked up with monster cables.
What kind of music do you have on your Xbox, if any? I got everything from Mobb Deep and Dr. Dre to Atreyu and Slipknot. I forgot that you could put music on an Xbox when I got it. I'd say Xbox is more of a party entertainment system. korny I know.
I used to have one, but I got offered a ridiculously high price for it, so I sold it.
I used to have
Ninja Gaiden
GTA double pack
Dead or Alive 3 & ultimate
Colin Mc Rae 2005
Doom 3
...
well, update on my Xbox games. well not really, its just one game. I now have Enclave & Halo for Xbox. man, I better slow down on my Xbox Game Buying. lol
Yeah becsue if u still go this fast all the good games will be yours in a few days! .
...
Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden Black
I bought Black, but is there Much difference between them? I thought Black was just
Ninja Gaiden with the hurricane pack or whatever it's called all on one disc...
On the topic of Xbox collections...
I got my console two weeks ago now, and I have about 15 games for it, most are posted in "Game Finds" but today I added Genma Onimusha, Which I will photograph with the rest of the finds of the day, and post in the "game Finds" thread.
Yeah, I'm thinking of selling mine, with the games, its in my sell list..
Can anyone tell me how I play my soundtracks while playing a game? I know some games wont let you but I dont even know how to find out if they do or not.
On the back of an Xbox Game box at the bottom it will say Custom Soundtracks if it is highlighted it means you can put your music in the game if it is not highlighted then you can not if you do have a game that lets you put soundtracks you can go to the pause menu during gameplay and adjust it there hope that helps.
okay, thanks. thats sucks though. none of the games I own will let me do that. Im pretty sure the Grand Theft Auto games will let you do soundtracks though. I was at my friend Stevens house and he had God Forbid playing on
Vice City, that was cool.
It just about is. I believe the only difference is a couple of new weapons/enemies/cutscenes and the inclusion of the original arcade game (which doesn't interest me all that much considering how they screwed up the unlockable 8-bit versions by making giving us the inferior SNES revamps).
As for my collection...
- Quite possibly the greatest 3D action game I have played.
- Greater than 'Virtua
Tennis'. Possibly best
Tennis game ever.
- The best NCAA football game I've played.
AND!
- It's supposed to be one of the greatest games ever released, won numerous "Game of the Year" awards, etc. (very high praise for a game I can't even get into... at all).
I also got EvoX working. This now makes the Xbox the "Greatest Game Console EVER"!!!
Thank you emulation.

The SNES revamps were unlockable in the first
Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox?
That's cool, but not worth the $37 they want at EB for a pre-owned one, especially considering that Black only cost me $39 brand new.

ohh.., The poor, poor neglected Dreamcast...
Yes, the '
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy' is unlockable only after collecting all 50 "golden scarabs" then starting a new game.
I don't like the blurry effect they put on the graphics, and the music is just terrible compared to the NES versions. It's not like it matters though, because the volume of the unlockable games is about 4 times quieter than the Xbox game.
It really is poorly put together. Like the programmers didn't even really try.
Is that $39 (CAN)? Where I live '
Ninja Gaiden Black' is only $29.99 retail.
It seems like the first release should have become a "greatest hit" by now (good thing I got mine for free).

The Dreamcast would still be the recommended choice for console emulation. The Xbox is extremely complicated to mod and use emulators on.
The DC also still has the stronger overall game library too. There's plenty of fun to be had on Xbox, but not enough to completely replace my Dreamcast.

Yes, $39 CDN, we get scammed on prices up in the north...
xbox rules, halo2 w/xbox live is just the best!!!!
Yes! Xbox > PS2 any day. (All sony has is
Final Fantasy. Those bastards. But the Xbox 360 is going to have a FF game, or so they say.)
They also have
Metal Gear......anyways, I tend to favor X-Box more, but Sony does have their share of good games.
Anyways, my friend has an X-Box, and is getting a 360, so I might buy it off him for 50 bucks sometime, and I might just start an X-box collection.
Metal Gear 3 will be on Xbox soon I think. But yeah, I you're right.
Metal Gear 4 is a PS3 only game.
...
The only two games I owned for Xbox were Halo and Halo2. I didnt own the Xbox very long(it was broken), but its my favorite current system excluding the 360.
The only Xbox game that I ever really got into was Psychonauts. Then again, I could have gotten that for the PS2.
I'm planning to look for a used XBox when I visit Japan the next time.
I'll wait until it's under 5000Yen (50$). In a year or two should be the time.
Games I want include Conker and Shenmue 2.
I hope there are some good RPGs too for the Box.
Fable is a good rpg, even if it is fairly limited. Haven't tried the Lost Chapters, though, so the length problem may be solved. And if you're looking for a spectacular rpg, grab Knights of the Old Republic.
And it uses a "
Star Wars" setting, so it gets added points for that.
And of course Shenmue 2 is very very good. But you knew that.
Thanks for the recommendation.
An RPG with
Star Wars setting would be great. 2 of my most favourite things alltogether.
No, the length problem is not solved, unless you consider one additional story quest to be a solution... I traded Fable in for The Lost Chapters as soon as I saw that it was released. if you don't have Fable, get TLC, if you do, don't waste the $30...
Glad to be of ser
Vice manuel. KOTOR'S combat is really interesting, too. It's turn-based, but they sped it up so that it seems somewhat like real-time. Also, you can pause the game and switch characters or give stacked commands to your allies.
One lousy quest?! That's all? Ooh, maybe it would take me all of six hours and to beat it.
One lousy quest?! That's all? Ooh, maybe it would take me all of six hours and
it has multiple parts, but it's still just one quest. and it doesn't bring anything new to the table...
There is other non-story stuff added, like the brothel, and a few other useless minigames.
Also, the sword of Aeons is about half as
POWerful in TLC. but there is a "good" version of it, so you can still stay good, and not be stuck with lame weapons.
Interesting, but not enough to be worth buying.
Besides, I'm completely played out on it. I beat the game the second time through in only 8+ hours, I got the "Archer" class.
