Mortal Kombat
Lately ive been into playing mortal kombat. Just lemme know what you think of the MK series and the diff. games.
I only own MK II for SNES. At that time the game was banned in Germany for excessive violence. Although this was so I bought it in a store (I was 15). If I went to the police and told them this, probably the store wouldn't exist any more. It's very illegal to sell banned stuff to people (yes, even to adults!) and I still was a minor!!
I can't say I didn't like the game.
But still I liked
Street Fighter 2010 more. The blood alone doesn't make MK better.
I'd like to try the new MKs for Gamecube, but don't have the money to buy them. I'll stick to my Soul Calibur 2 for a while.
Hahaha, if you own Soul Calibur II, one of the greatest fighters ever made, stepping down to the new Mortal Kombat games is going to be a slap in the face.
When I was a kid, I was in LOVE with Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 (quit caring after that), but they have not aged well. Any game with digitized actors can basically be immediately written off. On top of it, Mortal Kombat is unbalanced, sloppy, and has terrible, uninspired character designs.
"Hey, how about a guy in red and black pants?"
"Awesome! Let's put him in."
"Whoa whoa whoa, it just came to me: How about a Chinese guy with red and black pants?"
"How do you do it?! Put him in!!!"
"Uhh, you're not gonna believe this, but I just came up with another character. How about a black guy in red and black pants?"
"Somebody get this guy a raise."
Don't even get me started on the whole Scorpion/Subzero/Reptile/Smoke/god-only-knows-how-many-others example.
Reviews of the new MKs for Gamecube aren't that bad, so I thought I might get it... but not for now. When I want to beat people up, I still have Sould Calibur, Super
Street Fighter 2010 for SNES or Virtua Fighter 2 for Saturn. That should be enough for a while.
I remember the old MK games from SNES, I remeber another one that came out like 2 years ago. Deadily alliance I think.
Whats the one that came out like last NOV or DEC? Deception? I heard it was good.
Ahh yes, but all these chinese dudes in black and red pants have quite in depth stories behind them.

I like the Mortal Kombat for the snes as well, and the many fatalities that could be finished
i always played it on genesis and i recently bought ultimate MK 3 for saturn for $2 so i thought why not u kno
The first time I played Mortal Kombat was on my bros. NES, and I really liked it. I just recently beat Deception all the way through (unlocked all "k"offins), and I like it. I do agree that the most of the new characters they brought in suck, and have no story. (like that one guy.....Bo Rai Cho....)
