Can I use this on my Nes?

Can I use a famicom Controller on my Nes would it work?

No.

i'm pretty sure the pins are set up differently

you could get it working with a bit of modification if it doesnt already.. i think there are different controllers, so i couldnt say without seeing the one youre talking about

Plugs are different, but internally they are (I assume) the same

if you hacked the connectors off, and swapped them it would work just fine, but it's not worth the effort...

Famicom Model 1 controllers are HARD-WIRED to the system, but the AV Famicom I believe is similar in most respects to the NES. I believe those MIGHT work. Dont quote me on that

Hard wired. as in stuck in the system. as in, cant take them out?

Yep, and the cords come out the back of the console... it's a real pain.

ohhhhh... Well, at least i cant be capable of losing those... or am i?

I second that, It doesn't sound like it's worth the effort.

The controllers are just plugged in on the inside of the Famicom... BUT they're a different connector. I just wonder what the connector on the inside of the Famicom controller and NES controller looks like? I'm not willing to take mine apart to check.

Connectors on the inside? where the wires connect to the PCB inside the controller? those are soldered.

Those would be the ones. It seems like I've seen a controller where the wire just plugs into the board with a white connector. I'm probably thinking of a SNES or even PS controller though.
