I came across these excellent pictures that someone took at the Nintendo World opening this weekend.

It's great to see quality pictures of what the NES was originally going to look like. I didn't know there was planned to be a keyboard (although I think the famicom had one). And what's going on with that zapper!

The SP cabinet is also impressive. I didn't know so many had been released.

Edit: Actually, apparently that isn't the actual AVS console but its disk drive. That makes more sense.

Good post. I saw the pics before the link broke.

It looked like Nintendo was originally planning on releasing a "tape drive" (or at least that's what it looked like in the photo). That would have been an interesting add-on.

Also, the "zapper" looked more like battery POWered novelty deVice for women (if you know what I mean).

The link works perfectly for me. It's not broken.
