I remember like 5 years ago. My bro's freind gave me his collection of Nintendo POWer magazines from back in the day (He also had Faxanadu in there to ). Anyway, one of the magazines had stickers for the NES and SNES controllers. I still have em, if I had a digi cam, I would show you guies. The sticker masks the whole controller but has exact holes for the buttons and D-Pad. One stick had a New Years theme. Another had a 1992 or 3 on it (the a and b red buttons replaced the wholes in the 9's.

My SNES has a space backgtround, the D Pad is in the middle of a plannet. I tore it off though to see what the original SNEs contrller looked liked, I wish I didn't though. What happened was I tore it off but I have had the sticker on the controller for so long, when I tore it off, all the sticky material stay on and I even tryed washing it out to no avail.

Yes i finally helped someone. But ill have to tell you the only reason why i knew was because at Game Exchange My friend Nate uses it alot.

yeah, about a year ago i was at a thrift store and found a NES controller like that. i can't remember what the sticker was like but it was there.
