I Love Pirates!
this has to be the most awesome thing ever.
just read the specs, you'll see why it rocks.
Yeah, this is only possible in good ol' HongKong.
Oh, I want to go there one time.
Just bad that the battery doesn't last longer.
And what about the price?
Dude that's awesome! It has 300
NES Games?!? Pirates can be cool, sometimes. The Game Genie comes directly to mind, although I'm not sure if that classifies as a pirate...
the Genie wasn't a pirate, it was just unlicensed. as for the price, it seems they're a distributor, since the minimum order is 1000 units they're not going to cost much.
a friend of mine was approached with an offer of mini motorcycles for $100 each or something, downside being he had to order 100 of them or something.
I would guess they'd cost maybe $50 each, but $50 x 1000 is $50,000. it would be something that's awesome to get, but how would you ever find it?
I've seen some that are home entertainment players with NES capabilities, but this is the first portable, which is why I thought it to be worthy of posting. you could probably get a car adapter for it, and just stick it in the back seat to entertain passengers. Much cheaper than having a DVD player installed in the car, and you get NES fun added in
You could try to order 1000 and put them on eBay.
And with the money earnt you can pay the bills when Nintendo sues you.
I did a little further digging on those, they seem to sell for anywhere from $300 USD to $500 USD, that's too rich for me.
That should be the normal price you pay in stores.
SRP? Or how you call it.
When you buy it directly from a distributor it should be much cheaper. (But you have to buy a thousand or so... that's the bad point)

yeah, but even right from the distributor if it were $50, that's $50,000. I don't happen to have a spare $50,000
Mmh... spare 50000$...
Sounds good.
Wish I had so much money.
aww that is so cool...
i would so love to have that...
did they only go to Hong Kong?
nope, they'll ship 'em. but of course they're a distributor, so you have to buy at least 100 units, and I've actually emailed them for this info. it costs $175 each for 100 units, and $165 each for 1000 units... so at minimum 175x100=$17,500 which is a lot more than I have in my pocket although you're assured to make a huge profit on them, since portable DVD players seem to be the thing to have right now. especially one with all of those features... you could likely sell them for $400 - $600 each
400$ seems plausible.
In Germany they sell from 249 Euro. (325$) (normal portable DVD players)
Are the shipping costs already included in the 175$ per unit? If not it will be a little more expensive. And customs will like to have theur share, too I think.
I don't think that includes shipping, and shipping 100 of them is going to be expensive... which is another factor to consider even if you do have the spare $17,500
wow if you were already rich then it would be sweet to start a business like this. You could buy stuff in bulk off the web have it shipped and make a good profit off of it
That's how business goes.
If you have money and you're not too dumb, that money will increase.
One time i bought a 31 in 1 for 2 bucks. It worked perfect but over time it started to get worse. A came up with the idea of using the Game gneie and now it works. I must say it looks odd: a famicom game, then a converter, and then a game genie into the NES!
