The disadvantage of the Advantage
So I was playing
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I was only at the second level, on the swimming part. I just recently started using my NES Advantage again, and have come to the conclusion that whoever came up with the idea to make Slow Motion just repeat the Start button is a MORON!
I accidentally got deep in the weeds that shock you on the game. When I went to press Start, my finger hits what? A Slow Motion button. The game is going crazy from the Turtle select screen to the play screen and back again. By the time I got it undone, my player dies!
Promptly, I turn off the game, break out a Phillips head screwdriver, and remove the stupid thing that has caused me many problems in the past. Works so much better now! Poor choice in button placement, if you ask me!
heh, I never was fond of the slow motion mode with the NES, it's just pause over and over, and if the game has a pause menu, or any kind of short sound that plays before it pauses it's useless.
You have my sympathy.
I also know how it is to hit the wrong button at the wrong time.
Good you had a screwdriver there.
