Which Style DS...

Do you prefer? Personally i like the classic DS style more, its more unique IMO.

I'm reserving judgement until I try the Lite, but I suspect it'll be the winner by a large margin.

I haven't held the lite before, but I can say that the current one kills my wrists when I'm laying in bed and have it positioned on my chest.
So if the lite is a bit lighter I might like that more.... but then again the lite doesn't come in pink.

Can't afford either of them yet, but from the pictures, I'd probably prefer the classic version. The other one just looks too "lite" for my huge, grubby paws.

I didn't touch a lite before, but from the design viewpoint I'd prefer that to the original DS.
I will not dump my DS, though. I might get a DS lite after a few years when they're on sale.

Is there any difference like hardware wise in the Light version or is it just a new design?

Blindingly bright screen (adjustable between 4 settings), equal battery life at max brightness, larger less toothpick-like stylus, improved D-pad, and relocated POWer button.

I think that's about it.

You forgot that the mic is in the middle of the DS so you don't have to slightly turn your head down to the right . I guess it is more convient....

I'll stick with my classic. My only complaint is that the volume control slider is a bit flakey compared to the wheel on the classic GBA. Much more control with the wheel than the slider.

I think you mean "successor", "predecessor" comes before.

Yes, they still make GBA games, there are some interesting ones coming up. and some great ones released recently.

I don't know, getting $50 out of an old used DS is probably about the going rate for a trade in.

I just dont think i can do it knowing how much i spent for it originally. Heck i sold my PS1 this year for 50

I almost bought a DS the other day but they only had the animal crossing bundle i'm still looking to find the red one with mario kart.
