Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble

In Handhelds

So I was testing out the games that we bought for Jeremiah's birthday, and pop in this Kirby game I had never heard of. When the game started up, it said on the screen (something to the effect of), "Hold your Game Boy flat, and push the A button."

So I go, okay... and proceed. When the actual game starts up, I discover that however you hold the system, determines what direction Kirby rolls! I've never played anything like that before! Then to make things even MORE different and abstract, you move the system upright ubruptly, and Kirby jumps!

This to me, is so innovative... and this is on the Game Boy Color. By the way the game looks, I believe all the gadgets are built into it, but d*mn! I just think this was pretty cool, and was wondering if anyone else had played this game.

Seems like it is innoavative and original. And this is for GBC? I might have to check that out sometime.

Alas, I have heard good things about it but never played it

Yeah, but when you tilt it, the glare off the screen can mess you up.

Really, though, it's just Marble Madness.

Nintendo is always there for innovation.

They have something similar on the GBA now, "Yoshi's Universal Gravitation".

I've seen the Kirby "tilting" game in action before. It is quite innovative technology.

I believe there's a version of 'Super Monkey Ball' that uses a similiar game style for the GBA (tilting the console and all).

The new Kirby game for Nintendo DS looks promising. It's the one where Kirby is just a ball that "rolls" through the level, and you have to use the stylus to draw platforms and ramps for him on the fly.
I'm not exactly a Kirby fan but that game looks like one I'd be into.

...

I also want to point out that Kirby is the only video game character in which it's not insulting to say "He SUCKS!"

I played the kirby game awhile ago... It was AWESOME i was addicted to it 4 like a week straight

Imagine trying to play it on a emulator
