Bioware creating Sonic the Hedgehog RPG for Nintendo DS

Why?

The typical BioWare style of RPG is very niche. KoToR and KoToR II (probably their most popular games), are absolute crap in my opinion.

Sonic needs to be a very accessible game, BioWare are the last people that should be doing it.

Fire up KoToR, or watch a trailer explaining the mechanics of Mass Effect. Think that'll translate well to a Sonic game?

Me either.
The DS is a very popular handheld console, seems like a good deal for the publishers of the game.

Sonic must be one of the few games I enjoyed from Sega.
Wait a second...Bioware should be making a Phantasy Star for DS not Sonic.
