The Cd-i remote control is the worst. Much worse than the X-Box or Jaguar.

Yup The Jaguar controller was Terrible i could never play any game for a long time because of the controller.

Hey, the giant Xbox controller isn't all that bad. matter of fact, I often use mine.

I liked it better than the S controller for a few years aswell. I've since gotten used to the S and prefer it now, if only for the fact that the a-b-x-y button arrangement is better.

I've never had the pleasure of using a Jaguar controller, but it looks awful. As does the intellivision disk.
The large xbox controller isn't bad.

I... must have... the Sega-Octagon-Type-Controller. I thought the sweetest controller in the world was the U-Force, and then I saw novel item... I've never even heard of it. What the hell system was it for?

Oh wow....Like 2 of the controllers on there were for the Nes. And I had no prbs using the first Xbox controller. I liked it more then Controller S.

yep. i love the original NES (not the Dogbone) and the GameCube controllers. they fit perfectly, and are easy to use.

To stay on that topic: I learnt to write it "colour" in school, but now I use "color", because it's one letter short.

If you're learning/speaking/writing proper english, you'd spell it colour and favourite. It's just an american variation in spelling.
This argument happens too much.

I often use the British spelling of words. It just looks more classy. I think americans just got lazy and started leaving out letters.
Who knows, maybe americans will be come so lazy that we will spell things in an ebonics manner.

Well from that list it is pretty obvious that TV remote control like controllers are almost always a bad idea. The Dreamcast and the N64 controllers are probaby my favorite with the Gamecube one coming in next.

I don't really have a problem with the "size" of the first XBOX controller. My issues with it are for the style and placement of the face buttons. They are bunched too close together and have that unfavorable "oval" shape.

The analog sticks and triggers are fine though, so I still use it to play 'Half-Life 2'.

Looking at that list, I see that "keypad" type controls were generally disliked, although many of the games that used them (Intellivision sports games for example) actually put it to good use.

When you put it that way, maybe we shouldn't be so critical, since Nintendo's new controller may very well suffer the same fate.

i like the intellivision Disc, mainly becasue of the disc.

The Xbox controller S is my all time favorite. I havent used the 360 controller much but it seems even better. It makes FPS's actually playable on consoles. The 64 controller was great, until it grinded into dust, and the ps2 controller made it impossible to aim.

Got one of those in my closet right now. Never really attempted to seriously use it.

I'm confused. How different is the POWer glove than revolution's controller? I'm not trying to cause trouble, or if this is the right post, it's just that I hear a lot of people saying how neat and innovative it is and from everything i've heard it's a modern day POWer glove, one of the worst controllers of all time.

At work we got one of those in...............i hated it, and i had to clean it, and it looked retarded and Dumber than my Brother and yeah.

I said the very same thing several months ago

Though it does have some more advanced tech in it, not just the ability to detect movement if pointed in exactly the right angle toward the TV. I'm still in a wait-and-see mood regarding the controller.

I said this before and I say it again:

There are over 15 years of advancing technology between the POWer Glove and the Revolution controller.
This one will definitely be better in terms of handling and usability than the POWer Glove.
This time it's not just a gimmick, like the Glove was back then.
I'm pretty positive that it will become great.

Of course I'll also wait and see how it develops.

Much like the POWer glove your arm muscles.
