Alright, I only have a gamecube as of the current systems right now. Okay, doesn't it seem like nintendo is always going to be a little behind on todays technology on their systems? I mean the gamecube COME ON! Why didn't they take a little more time to make a more POWerful system?! I think the revolution is just going to follow the tradition too. Do you think nintendo messed up in this way? Actually no duh, gamecube isn't as technolgical, but what is your opinion?

Did they mess up? No. Did they come in 3rd place in the "console wars"? Yes. Frist off, Nintendo doesn't lack the tec. to make a great system. The GCN is more POWerful than the PS2 in many ways. Not Xbox, but is more POWerful than the PS2. Also, I could name TONs of great games that are only for nintendo, but right now I really don't feel like it.

Well, Nintendo has targeted more of the younger gamers with the Game Cube. It's all fun and all but sometimes I want to kill some people and screw some Hookers, instead of jumping on a goomba's head.

If anyone I knew saw me playing such killing games they wouldn't like it. That's why I mainly have a Gamecube. I guess I really haven't played the PS2 much. I haven't really wanted to. I guess I always got the concept that the gamecube is the worst out of xbox, ps2, and itself from all the info I gathered. I think Gamecube is mainly good for Super Mario Sunshine and Maybe Metroid Prime 2: Echos and maybe Paper Mario: the thousand year door. Gee I guess the gamecube is a good system afterall. haha. (um)

I've seen this point before, but Nintendo is absolutely right in their choices, I think. Gamecube sold very cheaply from day one, and despite being dropkicked all over the place by young family members, my GC is still 100% reliable.

You don't need 'teh ubar hardwarez' to make great games. Nintendo's hardware is usually just about as POWer as it needs to be. If nothing else, Nintendogs should be proof of that. While the hardware in the PSP is obviously more POWerful than that of the DS, the DS provides a game that looks amazing, and couldn't be replicated on the PSP.

The GC IS a very POWerful piece of hardware, but generally speaking it's not most companies first choice of platform, which is why many games look worse when ported to it: They're not designed with the GC in mind. When games ARE designed for it, they can be amazing: Look at Resident Evil 4, or many of Nintendo's games.

....... If i could pick which new console to have, it would be the gamecube. the overall quality of the games beats out the BS on the PS2.

PS2, because I: 1 have a GCN, and 2 I would sell it if I didn't have a GCN, and buy a GCN, and have some left over money.

Cube is more POWerful than PS2 noobs. It has more raw poly pushing POWer and can handle a lot more textures. The Problem is nobody uses it to it's full potential (not even nintendo). A lot of it's lack of support could be attributed to the small disk medium, but that's just Nintendo planning for the future (I hope ) The Cube's biggest problem for me is there isn't enough balls to the wall action games. I think they should have had Konami bring some new Contra and Castlevania to the cube, and they could have given us a new Kid Icarus and Star Tropics. Then they could buy the rights to games like Blaster Master and Crystalis and give us sequels to those.

Yea, that's how it would be if I ran Nintendo. Then when Reggie started talking that hardcore shit it would actually mean something.

Nintendo's hardware prices are always lower than those of the "look-we-have-great-POWerful-hardware-companies".

Actually, it's more close run than that. Infact there's not a great deal of difference between any of the three consoles this gen, to be honest. Only the X-box's hard-drive really makes much difference.

Gone are the days where a few K of RAM could make a huge amount of difference to how POWerful a machine is. with appropriate changes for each console, I don't think there's any reason why any game designed for one wouldn't run just as well as on the others, and infact most games that are available on all machines tend to bear this theory out, being mostly indistinguishable. They're all excellent consoles, with only minor differences in their strengths.

There is no worse system and no best system. Unless you count the N-Gage handheld...wich is the worst gaming deVice...if used for gaming..i think.
