What is your hardest Nes game?
I have been playing this game called "Guerrilla war" and I must say its hard. I get a "GAME OVER" in the first level I can't wait to try
Street Fighter 2010...And see how hard that one is.... what is the hardest game you own?
Im guessing this is not including shitty games with bad control. i don't know, im bad at alot of
NES Games.
Yo! Noid, I cant defeat the second level.
HAHA! Im better at something than somebody! NOID is one of my favourite games!
What is that game like?
Quick way to find out: Grab the
NES ROM and play it.
Your the dominoes pizza mascot, the noid, and you weild a deadly yo-yo. you go through stages of rising seas, dangerous ice paths, and use your dominating pizza crusher to kill all unworthy being! oh yeah, forgot to mention the lame pizza eating contests..
I can't believe no one, has said,
Ghosts 'n Goblins, not only hardest NES hardest ever.
I don't own them, but I think Ghosts n' Goblins and
Super C are two of the hardest games.
I played
Super C for the first time just as I was starting to get good at the first
Contra.
What a nasty surprise that was.
I like
Super C. Though i usually can't get farther than the first two levels
Yo Guys new here, But a major NES fans. How about
Solstice? there's a toughIe for Ya'. 253 rooms or so, scored on percentage of the quests You complete, but great fun for sure to be had.
I like it too, but after finally getting used the first one, I was shocked at how badly I got my ass kicked.
As for
Solstice, it's fun and pretty hard, but the difficuly level is unfairly escalated by the lack of shadows and hard controls.
But That's what makes things so tough. What gamers Don't enjoy great challenges? It's fun because of the Great screens. what's Your best perce3ntage Score? I've had about 98%.
Hmm... I'm pretty sure mine was a lot lower.
As for challenges, I like them, but only if they seem intentional. When the challenge is heightened by a flaw, that's not very enjoyable.
Ghosts 'n Goblins (already mentioned) i can get threw the first level without dying. but i can't seem to get past the second half of level 2
Milon's Secret Castle is another one. one day i sat down and played it all day. i got to the top of the castle and got sick of playing it. it's a neat game though. just about everything that you need is hidden. it's pretty tough too
same same.
Shadowgate has killed me. i had a real difficult time with it.
When i was very little i used to suck at mario 1
Go on, Laugh.
hahahaha, it is a hard game if you haven't played it before..
I've never been able to get very far in
Battletoads even after all these years. I can only make it to the snake pit.
that reminds me. the first
Back to the Future! i can't get past the first "bar fight" thing, where you have to throw the mugs at the punks that come in. i think the most i've gotten is 30
'
Dragon's Lair'.
Can't even finish the 2nd level. Of course, most of the difficulty lies in the fact that the game is so disgustingly unplayable and completely devoid of "fun".
I have beaten '
Ghosts 'n Goblins', but it's one of those "only one time in my entire life" type things.
I remember playing
Dragon's Lair. I couldn't even get off the very first screen!

Zen you should now be called the one and only
Karnov!
Yaaahahah Woooo, someone beaet it!
Everybody's gonna hate me for this But I had a friggin' hard time playing
Karnov hahaha
but I'm happy to see most people have a hard time at the same games as I do,
My first post here...I found the hardest NES game I ever played was
Fester's Quest...
Contra ranks up there as well, Simply not a solo game
welcome to the board. Yes,
Contra, i am not the greatest at.
Agreeeeeeeeeeeeed!
Damn'game!
Its the hardest game ever, forever!
But I have a friend of beat it. One time only.
(You need to beat it twice to get the real end!)
Cospefogo.
well GnG is harder than i originally thought.
Hey, Cospefogo! Good to see you.
Thanks thanks!
I was very busy last 4 weeks!
Matter of fact, I am still very busy!!!
Cospefogo.
The Immortal is bloody hard if you haven't had a lot of experience playing it. I had it as a kid and couldn't beat it, but did eventually finish it years later.
Wizards & Warriors II--beating the element bosses at the very end is pretty rough. I've played this for years and beating the game is still a hit & miss situation.
Kickle Cubicle I've beaten all the levels except the last one. The special game 30.
"invisible enemies". My Ass.
this is an old post but I have to mention these 2 games.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:
One of the hardest games to finish (even with a game genie)
Ninja Gaiden 1:
I don't think I even beat this game. made it to the end where you fight his father I think. I had every single level memorised where to jump, and where all the enemies attacked it was ridiculous.
Got to agree with you on
Ninja Gaiden, but may help you!
BTW, I forgot one--
Castlequest. Has anyone ever finished this hellish game?
ZEN has. He played through the MSX game The Castle and found out
Castlequest was that game, only not as good. After playing The Castle he played all the way through
Castlequest to see. I haven't had the patience to sit through that game yet haha.
I find
Smash TV to be hard. Then again I find
Karnov to be hard because kicking in the air makes me die. And I can't stop doing it. Anyway, in
Smash TV, for those of you who've never played, you must play the most recent Reality/Game TV Show around, in which either you or you and a buddy must run frantically around killing scores of soldiers, snipers, and apparent policemen from a Benny Hill film, all the while dodging millions of bullets and shrapnel from Shrap Niel, and finding your way through a maze of rooms which eventually lead to the prize. The Host? A playboy guy with some typical NES voice acting quality to him. Maybe better than typical. Anyway, I never get very far because while I'm despairing over the fact that there are som many rooms, I tend to get hit by many, many projectiles.
Yeah,
Smash TV is definitely a very tough game. I have tons and tons of problems trying to beat the first boss alone! The main thing I love about this game though is the fact that you can use two controllers to make it like the actual arcade (somewhat, of course).
On
Karnov, what do you mean by "kicking in the air?" I'm confused :P
That game was pretty hard for me at first, but I beat it twice; it would've
been three, but I had to go to the market & my sister played it when I was gone; & I was at the final level, THE END of the final level; When I got back, I only had five life bars left(out of a meter of over 50 or 70). needless to say I got my ass kicked.
That was my 2nd attempt. But I beat it.
My friend and I found one of the hardest games ever. Between us we've beaten
Ninja Gaiden III the same day I bought it and
Astyanax our first try.
Technically, this isn't an NES game, but I figure Famicom is close enough.
Holy Diver, a game loosely based on DIO's album and has a distinct
Castlevania flavor to it. Between us we got to Level 4 (of 5) and were unable to beat the first part of the level, and that was an effort of a few hours. I swear, this game is more frustrating than
Ninja Gaiden III, and it even has unlimited continues.
ZEN has. He played through the MSX game The Castle and found out
Castlequest was that game, only not as good. After playing The Castle he played all the way through
Castlequest to see. I haven't had the patience to sit through that game yet haha.
Wasn't he the one to first finish Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, too? He must have incredible patience, or expert knowledge of rebuilding smashed controllers/NES systems, lol!
Nevermind. I'm changing mine to Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde. Wow! That game makes me seriously feel retarded. Ghost 'n Goblins is much easier than that.
On
Karnov, what do you mean by "kicking in the air?" I'm confused
Well, maybe that was just in my experience, but all I can remember about the two times I played
Karnov, I kept trying to attack in Midair, causing instant death. My memory's a little fuzzy, but that's what I recall...
