What games ?
Hey, I just got my NES today *Hangs head in shame*. It came with
Donkey Kong Classics and
Gauntlet II for 35 pounds.
I was wondering if you had any recommendations on games I should get.
??? Half of those games suck big time. another good series to look for is
Ninja Gaiden 1,2,3

he said list some
NES Games and so I did.
No, he asked for some recommendations. Recommending
Hydlide is just pure evil.
OneGenerationTooLate's list is definitely good for a start.
Ohh god, i forgot the mighty man:
well since you said pounds, id look into getting these:
Ufouria
New
GhostBusters II
Hammerin' Harry
Asterix
also look into these
Little Samson
Megaman 1-6 - 6 is a US exclusive
Ninja Gaiden 1-3 - 3 is a US exclusive
1943
Bubble Bobble
Shatterhand
wacky races
metalstorm
theres so many many more, i just can't think of them. good luck!
is there a converter you can get so I can play US games, I know there is one for the SNES.
I know of at least one called the Gamekey, but it's probably easier to cut just pin 4 on the lockout chip to disable it. It does involve opening up the NES and messing around with the electronics, but it's a neater approach all-round.
As far as I know, only a few unlicensed games won't work afterwards, but those don't work on the NES Toploader either, since the final version of the NES was produced without a lockout chip anyway. To be honest, there's nothing essential that you'd miss.
As for games. You NEED Kung-Fu. and a NES Advantage. Seriously, that's the single NES game I play most. Also highly recommended are "
Batman The Video Game" (based, loosely, on the Keaton movie) and
Shatterhand.
The Gamekey is hard to find and will set you back about £40 on eBay so I definitely recommend the lockout chip route as that's free! You should be able to find a guide on how to do it through Google.
