Against the law?
Hi, there! I just want to ask if anyone has heard what I've heard...
Has anyone seen game boy advance games were it could be about...let's say 72 games in just one cart. They don't sell these games in my country, but I've bought many of them in other countries (it's usually old games on them, like SMB.) When I look at the packages, I can see that it is not the typical mark (Nintendo seal of quality.) Does anyone know if these games are illegal?
They sure are.
In fact, don't be surprised to hear a knock on your door in the next hour or so.
He, he! Good one!
yes, theyre illegal, but i wouldnt worry about it
Ok, cool! So nobody actually cares about it then?
It's as about as "illegal" as possessing
NES ROMs for games you don't own, and playing them on an emulator for a console you don't have.
Yeah, you are pretty much all "criminals".

The man knows too much...
So we are all gangstas? ...
Unfortunately, I was an active pirate.
arr!
When my friends come over my place, they discover my emulators, and are
Hooked! I've been given many fives of dollars to spend on spools of cd-r's to burn these things. jeez.
He, he! Well, personally, I've downloaded a lot of
NES ROMs for the NES on my computer wich I don't own. I've heard that most people really don't care about the "ROMs are for backup purposes only" thing.
I am downloading
NES ROM's and emulators frequently and ethically they are illegal, since I don't own the originals. But if a company does not register their product in a particular country, who the hell is going to arrest the criminals.
But I honestly believe, if the original copies are not available for sale, playing games using
NES ROM aren't that much of a crime.
I mean i sort of understand why
NES ROMs are illegal unless you own the original copy. But if you only have the ROM on your computer and if you liked it wouldnt you buy the actual copy for the actual system
Wasn't that an argument for downloading free music? (for me it was) I download
NES ROMs, and I don't think its that bad, and I agree with greatmightypoo.
