In Games

Anyone here have any type of genre of games they can "play" but not play for long? For me itd have to be sports. I can tolerate some of it..one time i was playin a Baseball video game..for to the 4th enning and stopped. CRAZY

Yeah, sports games. If they're good I play an hour or two, but that's the max on one day.
And shooters, first person, sidescrollers, all shooters basically. I play them, I suck at them and die usually in the first stage.

For me it'd have to be puzzle games, like Yoshi's Cookie, Tetris, Dr. Mario, etc.

I one hundred percent agree with all that

There are different kinds of games that I can't play for long.

For sports, I can generally tolerate one full game. Not like a season. Like, for Baseball: nine innings, for football: 4 quarters, etc. I think a long time ago I was really into Super Tecmo Bowl and made it through an entire season. Then again, that was one of the better sports games on our 8-bit buddy!

Bionic Commando. Man, I used to be in love this game when I was younger. I used to rent it, and not get anywhere on it! Then I went and bought it one day thinking, "Okay, here's a game that will last me awhile!" Wrong. I beat it the same night that I purchased it! Now when I grab it from a site to jam on (I don't have it yet), I can't hardly stand to play the first couple of levels. I really like the game, but for some reason I find it intolerable to actually play now! Weird, huh?

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The reason I can't play this for long is obvious. I regard it as one of the worst games on the NES. Why would I even play it at all, you may ask? Because I've never beaten it. I want to beat it, just because, ya know? But the gameplay is so horrible that I can only play so much and go, "I'm done." ...whom

Holy S#@$ ROTH! you beat Bionic Commando?! You are the gaming master of the universe! That game is damn near impossible..you could have beaten the hardest game ever created man im just so surprised. And about the sports game i can usually just do 1 exibition match and im through..hell cant even last all the way through those sometimes. Same with puzzles. One session and im done.

You know, that's what thought! I rented it or borrowed it from friends before, and was never able to get anywhere! When I went to their houses... nada. I looked like fool trying to play that game.

The reason I bought that particular game at the time was this. I was going through a stage in NES gaming at the time where I would rent something, and beat it very quickly. That game was one of the exceptions. I didn't really have to many games at the time, and started working at a local buffet called 'The Royal Fork Buffet'... ucky. Anyway, I had gotten a pay check and figured it was time to buy a game. When I got to the store, I saw Bionic Commando, and immediately was like, "Here we go! It'll take me a LONG time to get through this!" Yeah.

Dude, I was honestly SO mad that I beat the game that night. After all the crap I went through trying to get past the first few levels before... then I purchased it, and beat it right away!

I've got to say, that is the only game I've ever been angry about conquering.

yeah i used to have the NES ROM for that Bionic Commando it was pretty kewl but the crappy controls uugh why?

and my bro just recently bought it and Kirby's Adventure and my Nes isn't Hooked up so i cant play it !ahhhhhhh!

oh and the game i cant play for long is any GTA game infact i was at a store a couple months ago i only had 6 bucks so my friend Nate who works there says GTA 3 or Vice City oi said NOOOO, so i get zombies ate my neighbors complete for 1 buck and Land

I can only play those kinds of games for hours if it's for competition

I have enough competition with myself. I try to beat my own highscores. Which is always very hard.

I can't play Donkey Konga long. Its really fun, but after an hour, you just don't want to anymore. Also, I sometimes getting back akes for always bending over. (to hit the bongos)

I don't have to bend over to hit the bongos. I have long arms.

But it's true. 1 or 2 hours are the limit for me, too. In 2 hours you can play every song about once. Then I have to make a pause. But as I'm always playing with others (my wife or my sister and her friends), it's really fun. Perhaps I have to get Mario Party to have still more fun.

I cant play DDR 6 hours straight(believe me i did once) because I get sooo tired so Who showed me!

Any "racing" game.
