Alright my nes is doing the grey screen thing and i cleaned it thoughourly and tweaked the connector pins up.. and nothing. Any clues now?

as hard as it may be to find one, get a Game Genie, my main NES won't work AT ALL with ANY game unless I use my Genie. With the Genie it's just pop it in and go, first shot. even the Airwolf cart that I cleaned... chocolate (I HOPE it was chocolate!) out of today worked beautifully.

The problem may be that you just need a new 72 pin connector. The main connector. Sometimes when it stops working it stops forever. Find one here it tells you even.

^^^^How much would be a Genie. My friend has one, and my games work great on it, but when I play them on mine, it takes a while to get them working.

Wow id do anything just to have back my old nes PERIOD. I hope you get your nes working again, thatd be great.
