Ripped off again!
There happens to be so many differences in the games that are over here and those that are in Japan, that alot of times, the western hemisphere gets scr*wed. I just found out the minus worlds on SMB1 were conquerable on the Famicom!
They talk about the minus worlds towards the bottom of the page. And alot of these little glitches, I didn't know about!
that's always the way, especially with game heavy in dialogue, they often just take chunks out because they're too lazy to translate...
i just purchased a copy of
Super Mario Bros. for the famicom system and did the minus world glitch and the same thing happens as on the US nes version, you go through the pipe at the end and start over at the beginning and keep going on and on untill you time runs out and you die. my copy of famicom
Super Mario Bros.is yellow. i am wondering if the minus worlds are only conquerable on certain versions or colors of
Super Mario Bros.for famicom? i have seen blue and red versions of
Super Mario Bros.for sale on ebay. does anybody own a copy of famicom smb1 thats NOT yellow and have you tryed to conquer the minus world? or has anybody ever conquered the minus world? please post!!
after you defeat the minus world on famicon, where would it bring you???
What I read was that after completing 3 (or 4, I can't remember) minus worlds, it treats it as if you beat the game, and start back at the title screen. You can even select which world you want to start on, just like you beat the regular game.
i beat mario before, and it didnt let me choose the world i want to start in... why not?
that sucks....
through translation they rip off all that good stuff and then we must pay for it.
i wonder if they do the same to games translated to japan and other places?
It should. After you come back to the title screen, you hit one of the buttons and each time you hit it, the world goes up by one in the upper-right hand corner. I can't remember the exact one, but try A or B. You probably just never noticed it.
