Which one of the first two turtles games do you enjoy the most?

I voted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, I have fond memories of it from long ago, played it with my brother a lot. Quite a hard game.

Uhm i don't wanna burst your bubble dude, but there are 4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Nes, and the one i like most is Tournament Fighters!

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was wondering about the styling differences between the original and the arcade version released on the NES. That's why I said the first two.

The second part rocks in all senses...

It was set up pretty much like the second one. I'm just wondering which style people prefer between those two. I know it's not that great of a poll, but it's my first one. Whenever I come up with another one, I promise it will be better!

I like the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I like the way it's build up on. The caracters are very cool, except from maybe April O'Neil, she looked like a dress-up-doll in the game, he, he! Shredder is one of the best characters in the game, and I really enjoy it when I can take the party wagon with missiles. Just a good tip for those who doesn't know about it, when you're short with lives just go down a manhole grab a pizza go up and down again then the pizza is still there! That way you can rebuild lives till it get's full!

I found the first one superior. Turtles and Battletoads were the most difficult games I believe I’ve ever beaten on the NES.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game' was good but didn't quite capture the true excitement of the real arcade game.

The original Ultra Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was great but faltered in its final stage. The long corridor leading to Shredder with all those flying rocket pack guys is quite frustrating.

For what its worth, I think the original game offers more.

Turtles 1 I will allways love. Granit it was very hard but the feeling when u beat it is unforgetable.


But when turtles 2 came out I had my gandpa buy it right up. So many quarters wich led to big bucks wasted. I was very happy as well as my parents, alot of money saved.

About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, sure that the graphics is better than the first, and more fun because we can play as a team with our friend. But... easier than the first.

Facing them, if I don't use a special weapon which can be found in stage 3 and after beat the giant ant before face technodrome, I think I even cannot pass along. For this, ussually I use Raphael or/and Michael Angelo to collect them till 99 quatities, because I rarely use both of them so I've not to be afraid they 'eat' stupid weapons like syuriken, triple syuriken or boomerang. To fight, I use Leonardo because of 'his' weapon's flexibility, and Donnatelo because of the POWer.

Anyway, maybe because the hard difficulties I face, (and of course because I can finish it) I enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 more than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

I like both of them because of their good playability, but as it's a poll, I voted for part 2.

They are both good, but I chose the 1st one because it's more of a challenge and I like the varied style of the levels. It's probably an unfair comparison but I prefered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 in the arcade.

i own the first ninja turtles game for my nes. i find it to be hard. theres a lot of enemies to fight (like 7 at once on a screen) and they start taking away lots of life after a while. damn them

I agree that the Turtles games are hard... especially the first one, I have trouble getting past the first sewer part now

number 2 although i do not think number one is as bad as some seem to think i personally liked it as well although 3 was the best

Number 2 was a port of an arcade game. Number 3 played very similar but I don't know if thatwas an arcade game too. I never saw it in an arcade.

oooo. i though it might have been #4. but #2 is a good one. i played it over my friends house. we spent hours on it

At the moment I'm struggling to remember number 4. Is that Turtles Through Time?

Edit: Just found it was called Turtles in Time, it was on the SNES and it was indeed an arcade conversion.

Kind of the middle. After getting through that long level, you have the fourth board at the airport, which is extremely challenging. I wouldn't expect that you would get past it on your first visit without continuing at least once. After that is the dark level. There are three sewer holes that you have to search through to find the Technodrome. The catch to this is, it's in a different spot everytime you play. If you die while fighting the Technodrome itself, it could possibly move to another hole. Anyway, get past that level and you're inside the Technodrome, and I HIGHLY recommend that you stock up on those wave weapons that you find in the third level. Give them to someone that you don't use too often, such as Raph or Mike, I presume. There are rocket pack guys that are best avoided by ducking and going, ducking and going. There are patterns you can do, but sometimes they still get hits off on you. Each board is progressively harder, so be ready.

Ha! That guys name is Rocksteady. He isn't really the leader of the Foot Clan, he's a mutated rhino created by Shredder. The mini-boss of the level is Bebop, a mutated wart hog.... or whatever they're called. They are from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons.

I always get those two confused... even though I used to watch the cartoon all the time.

lol. i used to watch those cartoons. i remember bebop and shredder, but not so much rocksteady. but bebop and rocksteady were easy to kill. im afraid of what shredder is gonna be like...

i hate the guys that you hit, then he turns into 4, you hit them again, and it multiply's into 8. then they die once hit again. (those guys piss me off)

Sometimes I have to cheat to get past such ones.
(I really was a better gamer some years before...)

i dont cheat, i just stand there and continually whip them, but it takes long and i usually get hit.

Ususally I don't cheat, too, but sometimes I can't help it.
And I only cheat on emulators. I don't have any cheating deVices for my consoles.

i dont have ninja turtles for my computer, i have it for my nes. but if you want to cheat on your console i know some good cheat sites, check these out...

cool. they are good. i think for just about any game you play, you will find those sites quite useful

the only site you'll ever need. it has walkthroughs, guides, cheats, easter eggs, everything. and unlike CheatCC (which I used to use exclusively) doesn't cost anything, or bombard you with ads.

Yes, when I'm searching on google I always come across gamefaqs, even when I'm not searching for cheats.
It really has tons of stuff.

I never get many ads. My popup blocker just works fine.
I'm ok with banner ads. Some of them are nice and help financing the sites.

install Mozilla, or Mozilla Firefox, built in pop-up blocker, and it'll prevent you from having to use your anti-spyware apps so much, since most of the ways you get them is due to flaws in IE.

my old one stayed at the top of the screen of my computer constantly (because i got dsl cable, so my internet is always on)
it was blue. now tell me if im right ... i think it was called spyware nuker or something, but it kept pop up ads out...

Oh, yes, I forgot Firefox. I also use that from time to time. It also blocks popups and is very safe.

damn! i played the game today and was doing great. then my nes reset!

The first one. Very diverse game with the swimming level, and very hard (the last stage). I've only beaten it once (after 10 years, and after being in the final stahe a lot). And I've beaten it by collecting scrolls, this was all for nothing though because I died in the last stage. I used a continue, and somehow I managed to beat the game even though I lost the scrolls.

Biggest acclompishment must be beating the water level without being hit.

I have all 4 turtles games and my favorite probably would be the manhattan project

I loved all the turtles games. 1 is the best in my opinion because i love the challenge of it. 2 and 3 are great as well. But 1 is just so bad ass because of the challenge i love it. Cam, i also cannot beat the game heck i cannot even get passed that water level!!! heh im not good at it but i sure do love it. I love games that hard because it makes you want to keep comming back to it .
