Need a ROM, Have a ROM, Leave a ROM, Take a ROM...

NES ROMs listed here
That's where I usually get my
NES ROMs, but some of them won't work with NNnesterj. Shifter has helped me out with a few that wouldn't work!! Thanks again, dude!
are you running them from the zip file, or extracting them? some of those zips have extra junk in them... I extracted all of mine last night... that took some time.
I'm extracting all of them. I feel like it would work better, though I'm not sure if it matters either which way.
some emulators can't read from the zip file. I was thinking that maybe the various README files within the zips would confuse the emulator and prevent the
NES ROM from loading properly.
hey,
I am looking for battletanks and elevator action.
thanks

Well, there you go, please read previous posts before asking though. You could have found these by following my link above.

No problem... visitor, is it? Why don't you register with NESfiles instead of being a guest?
Hey, you can get any NES game you want from my site:

I agree with Roth, very nice concept, I hope you can get it all finished up. It would be great to have a central place for all of the
NES ROMs you could ever want.
Well, all the
NES ROMs are online and accessible from the site right NOW. I just don't have pretty pages built for them yet. You can still browse all the ROM directories and get whatever games you want.
So, will it stay no voting, or will a voting concept be thrown into it later? That's what I love about:
They have a deal that you can vote once if you WANT to. And why wouldn't you want to? It's a painless process of A click. Very professional.
I can agree with ads because you have to pay for bandwidth somehow. but offensive ads are irritating. I had almost given up on emulation due to the fact that you have to do all that voting garbage, and are still often times not forwarded to the
NES ROM sections.
I don't plan on any advertising or voting. I get 30gbs of monthly bandwidth, so as long as the site doesn't get TOO popular, it shouldn't be a problem. To exceed 30gbs, the entire site would have be downloaded 30 times over. The highest my bandwidth ever got was 10gbs, and that was when I was hosting some MAME
NES ROMs and plugging the site on several video game forums. Shouldn't be a problem.
Also, that's a "stripped down" version of my NES collection. That should just include the bare necessities to cover every game made. I have a much more complete collection of about 8,000
NES ROMs that I keep offline. If you can't find a title, I can add it to the database.
It's good to know people like you!
Oh, those 8,000
NES ROMs I mentioned are JUST NES. I also have a complete Genesis, if you're into that sort of thing, and an old complete MAME. (The MAME collection is no longer up-to-date. Support for TONS of new
NES ROMs has been added, and I haven't kept up. Still, most any arcade game you'd like, I have.)
I had complete SNES and GBA as well, but they were lost in a dumb hard drive mistake a while ago, and I haven't had the heart to replace them yet.
8,000 of just NES? Do you have
NES ROMs for every language?
About the Genesis, why h*ll yes! I like the Genesis alot. It was my (and a lot of people's) first foray into 16-Bit gaming, besides arcades. MAME is awesome, too. It has allowed me to remember some of the games that I used to love, as well as discover new ones.
Yeah, the full set of 8,000 includes North American, Japanese, European, Chinese, pirate, unlicensed, hacks, prototypes, and different versions numbers of the same games.
On Planet8Bit, I have US, Japanese, European, Chinese, translations, and multi-region games.

10GB/month? That's about 333MB/day. That's pretty small for a ROM site. The NES Files isn't strictly a ROM site(those manuals are big), but we get about 2-3GB a day, easy. Watch your bandwidth consumption closely, particularly if you start increasing your visitor count...

No, I get 30gbs of monthly bandwidth, and for as little traffic as I get, that is absolutely no problem.
I'm looking for the "
Super Mario Bros. 4"
NES ROM.
Allegedly there's a hacked version of the game Armadillo. (I have that)
The original characters were replaced with Mario and co.
Does anybody have it or know where I can get it?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Super Mario Bros. with Sonic as the main character is cool, too.

seems to be listed there. but be warned, that site has some inappropriate ads...
I'm ok with those ads. I was in Japan for a year, you see such things in every bookstore.
Thank you for the link.

Just figured I'd warn about the ads in case there were young children present, or you were at work or something.

Yeah, when I saw this thread I looked in my collection, because I have TONS of hacks. I have TONS of Super Mario hacks, but the only "Super Mario 4" I had was just a hack of SMB1 with sprites from SMB3.
If I run across it, I'll upload, because I don't keep hacks on my
NES ROM site.
Thank you very much.
hmmm, I've never run in to that on
NES ROMnation before.
Greetings,
Here is an excellent site that requires no voting to download

Does anybody have or know a link to the
NES ROM of "Doki Doki Panic"?
I'm not searching for a hack this time.
Couldn't find it either on
NES ROMnation, nor on theoldcomputer or nbgames... anybody?
as far as I know, it was a Disk System game...
It's possible.
Does this mean, that there's no
NES ROM for it?
I can't find it anywhere...
I'm not sure if Disk System
NES ROMs will run with a normal emulator, or even if
NES ROMs exsit, you may need a Disk Image
Ok, thank you.
I'll continue my search.
And if somebody should find it, let me know please.
i have the actual
NES ROM for it after some searching for a while... I will delete it from my server in a few days. also download virtuanes emulator in order to play it.... It is a 2 sided game... Open the

Now I wanted to try it, but it seems that the rar file of Dokidoki panic is corrupt. I can't open the file.
Edit:
False alarm. I tried to download it again and now it works. Thank you for hosting it.
I am looking for a english version of the japanise RPG Just Breed.
Didn't have room on my webspace to upload translations (have about 100mbs of translated

anyone have a working
NES ROM for the 100 world story?
NES ROMnations's english translations do not work.(sorry the japenese version of the name if to hard to remember.)
I agree with Roth, very nice concept, I hope you can get it all finished up. It would be great to have a central place for all of the
NES ROMs you could ever want.
I was thinking of starting a site like that. Taking every rom I have, then going out on the net and getting every other one for every system I can think of, and hosting them in one nice, neat spot. Easy to get to, find, download. No strings. How does that sound? would I get hounded by some agency?
I've had problem's finding the FDS BIOS
NES ROM. Anyway know where I could get my hands on it?
There's a link on where you can get SMB2J in a .zip file with the disksys.rom.
Thanks, sorry I missed that.
It's no problem man. I know it's tough to come into a new forum and find everything you're looking for even when utilizing the Search function at the top (especially when there's a ton of threads). Glad it helped you out.
Thanks for understanding. Also, anyone know a good place for Disk System
NES ROMs? I can't find either of the
Zelda disk system
NES ROMs.
