Did Emulators play a major role in you playing NES again?
It did for me, but like most say, I like the feel of the controler in my hand rather then adjusting to the keyboard. But my fvoite game I have via emu is probably Kirby
No it was a box of cheap
NES Games in a second hand store about 5 years ago. I only got into emulation quite recently and that was mainly to try out the non European releases.
Actually, now that I think about it, emulation DID have a big role in me getting back into the NES. I didn't have one for a long time, then I bought one at rummage sale (the one I still have) and didn't play it for a long time.
Then one day I heard about being able to play
NES Games on the DreamCast. I acquired the DreamCast on a trade to a buddy of mine for my PS One, and another friend of mine got his hands on a disc of NesterDC. Around then is when I had a little interest sparked back in me. I remember thinking how much I used to love playing Nintendo.
It took awhile before I actually started buying games, though. I wonder if I wouldn't have played that emu if I'd still be into it right now?
Yeah, emulation played a major part. I've been into emulation for about 6 or 7 years now, and while I never really quit playing NES or SNES, etc, it wasn't until I started my
NES ROM site about 2 years ago that I started getting heavy into NES again.
For me emulation was quite big, too.
It's the fastest and sometimes only way to test games quickly and have a look at them.
But of course nothing can replace the original.
When I find really good
NES ROMs, I want to get the cart.
Pfff, sometimes I get the cart even if it's really bad.
I love being able to record music and take snap shots, that definatly helped my
Faxanadu Site
I can't afford buying bad things, because there are so many good things I have to get first.

Yea me too bu I am only 15 so it's not like I can just drive to some old pawn shop and buy it
Yes it did revive my interest in the nes I have a delapitdated deck which barley works and 15 games so emulation is the way I play now
cmrun1
Ems. Really did not play a big effect. I got really into my N64, and SNES, and then I thought about my NES. I
Hooked it up, and it was broken. (then I remembered that my bro. droped it down the stairs . (right now, I'm starting to buy the
Ninja Gaiden games. I have 2, and 3)
It is emulation that made it possible for me to Play my
NES Games once again. In my country, there are n't any Retro Shop, but PC's are very cheap and internet connection is descent enough. So emulation is my going force.
