Looking for a good NES emu for OS9.x
Hey, a friend of mine that works at a pawn shop gave me a free iMac that they hadn't been able to sell for years. It's nothing incredible, 350mhz, and I slapped 1gb of RAM in it, its got a 10gb hard drive if I remember correctly.
Anyway, that's not important. The point is it's not
POWerful enough to run OSX well, so I've been looking for a good NES emulator to throw on it. Problem is, ALL Mac emulators have jumped to OSX, and I can't find any decent ones for OS9. Anybody know any good ones?
I'm running OS X on a 366Mhz beige G3 with 224MB of RAM right now, it's not bad. the only problem is that my Voodoo 3 3000 video card isn't supported... I'm not sure about software for Classic... it's always a pain to find... I suggest you try OS X on there, if it sucks go back to 9 and hunt.
Yeah, it has two drives. I'm booting OSX on one and OS 9 on the other. OSX runs terrible. Ha.
Which version of X is that? I'm told 10.3 has HUGE speed enhancements over 10.2. I'm running 10.2.8 which is the most recent this Mac supports without some trickery
10.2....I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the info.
