That's quite a nice collection, there! I don't have too many boxes, those places I shop are tough to part with them. I have a
POWer pad, however. I've got a CRAPPY digital camera. I'll try and do something similar to what you have posted elsewhere. It'd be nice to see them laid out!
Thanx Roth, i think it's nice too laid out like that, but it's grwoing very fast.Moving very soon and then i'm gonna make new pics.
How many are you up to, now nes-a-holic?
At the moment about 200-210, but that's not all that much, there are people who have much much more!
I've got a lot of carts waiting for me... one guy has 10 carts + a complete game genie, and a computer, I just need to get shipping to him. My girlfriend has found two people with carts that I'll likely be getting either for free or something like $1 a cart, so when these deals all get finished up I should have a much nicer collection.
I know what you mean. I'm just under 200, and I'm like "Dude, I have alot of games!" Then when you see some of these collections on-line it's like "Dude, I have a while to go."
I saw one person's webpage with photos of over 1300 carts. I'll see if I can find a link.
JESUS!!! Were they all NES? If so, wouldn't that give them a whole lot of doubles?
yeah, all NES, I would assume there were many doubles. The site is gone now, when I last saw it he said they were going up on ebay. Except for his top loader, and a few games that he liked.
personally I'm more concerned with getting fun games before rare games. I'll grab rares if I have the chance, but I play my carts all the time, so I want coolness, then expensiveness.
I agree with that. However, it is cool to have rare games. Makes you feel a little more special in this world.
I don't feel like naming off all my games, but you can see pictures of my NES collection in the following link:
I should have 17-20 but I used to have plenty more I traded most in leaving me with this whopping number but now i regret it alot. I used to have some cool titles including Circus Caper and a cool virtual flying game I dont recall. O well, life goes on
I have a decent collection of 2 NES's (one with a whole mess of stickers on it),150-155 games including
Exodus and
Spiritual Warfare, a variety of Controllers including the joystick you slip a regular controller into. I own a
POWer glove, A Game Geneie with a 50 page manual, and my own personal copy of The Wizard on VHS. I started in 2000, and obtained each peice at yardsales/fleamarkets, the Goodwill/SA, and A Closing Gamestop location.
FINALLY, I have gotten around to typing up a list of the games that I have. Just follow this link:
now was this thing shaped like the normal controller, but modified the D-pad? or are you talking about a joystick like Advantage style?
if it's the former of the two, I had one of those. I can't remember whether it helped or not...
FINALLY, I have gotten around to typing up a list of the games that I have. Just follow this link:
that's a good selection of games, you have all the quality titles in there. if only you had doubles of the quality titles in there... (
Rad Racer II,
Gauntlet II... the list goes on)
Perhaps I should make a list, too. It will be very short, though.

Nice dude, by any chance any doubles or not?

Sorry guys, I haven't made any 'lot' purchases or anything like that. I just go to the retro store and grab games I don't have. Most games over there cost about $7, if I remember right (haven't been there in about 3 mos.), and the other store sells some of their games as low as $1 (except SMB 1 .25). So I've been able to pick and choose the games that I don't have, which leads to no doubles...
Yes, when you buy them 1 by 1 you shouldn't have any doubles.
I have exactly one double. That's Dragon Quest 3. 1 is complete, the other is cart only. I bought the cart before and then saw the complete one some months later.
Funny is, the complete one was cheaper.
at the moment I have about 10 doubles, but I trade them off for carts I don't have. only thing I don't care for doubles of is SMB/DH
Funny,
Duckhunt seems rather rare here in Germany.
It still has high prices in online auctions and stuff.
I'm giving a spare SMB/DH to NES-RULE in Norway
Well, that's mighty kind of you! Anybody have a SMB game by itself that they want to give away? I already have the other two...(SMB/WCTM/DH, SMB/DH)
I have a single one that I'd be willing to part with...
as it's my only one, it would be good to get something else I haven't got in return, but if not I may still decide to go for it.
one thing I have learned is that if you give, you'll recieve
i still need to get SMB/WCTM/DH and smb itsself badly....
Thanks Roth
Nearly the same problem here in Germany.
The NES was popular, but now nobody is selling at reasonable prices.
I saw
NES Games (all very common) in a used game shop, and they all were 5 or 10 Euro. That's just too expensive. (And they only had about 15 carts or so. Too poor.)

here is my collection, links are easier to give than a big list:P
