NEW - Original Nintendo NES System - NIB - Very Rare!
eBay Item # 8162889222
Couldn't we make up a thread for eBay posts?
Because when everybody selling something on eBay opens a thread here it will become complex and cunfusing.
Does it frustrate anyone else that EVERYTHING on ebay having to do with the NES is VERY RARE!!!!!! OMG I WILL NEVER FIND SMB/DH EVER!!!!!!!
#1 it's cool that it's boxed and stuff, but that doesn't make it worth $253
#2 the games with it aren't rare... even though they're boxed...
I would say $100 would be the max price for that... if you wanted any bids... if by chance someone does bid... they're nuts/have FAR too much money.
Starting at 1$ will show the "real" price people are willing to pay.
I think it may go a bit over 100$. When you're very lucky about 150.
To be fair if that really is an unused NES (which i kinda doubt) then it is rare. Opening the box to take the pictures was probably an error though as it can't be called factory sealed anymore.
I saw a sealed copy of Action 52 go for $200 a while ago so if those games are really factory sealed I wouldn't be surprised if some collecter with more money than sense bid on this item.
half of the games aren't even in plastic anymore... so they're not factory sealed...as for the NES, if it's out of the box, it's used.
It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like they are all in plastic apart from Mario, which was part of boxed NES. He claims in his text that they're factory sealed (obviously that doesn't mean they definitly are).
well f it really is unused, id say thats a steal. ive seen unused NES's sell in upwards of $500
certainly not my piece of cake however. i have a nes thats looks unused and is mint in box that i got for $18. good enough for me
I saw factory sealed Japanese Famicoms for about 10000Yen. (100$)
yeah opening the box was stupid and its not 100% factory sealed anymore i would definitly still pay over 250$ for it anyway though man ii really wantr a sealed nes

I wouldn't pay NEARLY what he's asking! It's just insane! I love NES and all, but for what the games are, and the "original wrapping," it's just not worth it... If your NES doesn't work, go somewhere else people, this is a rip-off...
$100?
Quite humorous.
Prior to accusing me of being "stupid," you should educate yourself and get your facts straight. The 1985 boxes from the Nintendo factory were never "sealed." The box has a male/female connection flap of cardboard that "seals" the box, but there was never any tape or plastic wrapping. Even the NEW PS2 system that I purchased at ToysRUs did not have plastic wrapping! All of you negative people stand corrected, and, by the way, just because you may not want to purchase the item, or can't afford to do so, don't denigrate others. Oh, and there WILL be plenty of bids, including the one that exists already. Thanks for the kind input.

A "rip off"? Quite simply, you don't have a clue, buster. Factory-sealed
NES Games are EXTREMELY rare, and worth a great deal to any vintage game collector. A first-run, unplayed, factory-packaged NES system is literally unheardof, and, again, of GREAT value. Do YOU have one? Do you know anyone else who owns one? Have you seen one at any shows? I think not. And, for those of you questioning my integrity, I feel quite sorry for you. My eBay feedback speaks for itself, and the auction is fully insured. Get a grip.
At what pictures are YOU looking? The only game that is not sealed is Mario, and that's because it came that way with the system!
I realize that there are some people that would pay INSANE prices like these. I also know that games still wrapped can easily be faked. I'm not so much questioning YOUR integrity, as letting everyone around know that there are such fakes. Maybe yours isn't, maybe it is, but calling people "buster" and other names of the sort isn't good practice. No I have none of those things. If I could afford them, I'd like to think I wouldn't care if it was "sealed" or not. I still feel it's a rip-off. Thank you.
I also would not pay such high prices, but also wouldn't call it a rip-off.
Because nobody forces you to buy an overpriced item. That's for people who have too much money. (When you buy your stuff back from pawn shops and he asks the quadruple price, then that I call a rip-off)
I direct to you to this thread at Digital Press. A guy with 100% feedback is selling "factory sealed"
NES Games. Questions are raised about their authenticity. Turns out if you read to the bottom of the thread that people paid many hundreds of dollars for these games outside ebay and they turned out to be completely faked. It's not unheard of for ebayers with good feedback to turn bad.
Now I'm not saying that applies to you, but you should appreciate that when people are parting with hundreds of dollars and there is a chance of being burned they want to be confident that what thay are getting is real. I know you already have a bid and will get more before the auction is over, but if I was selling sealed games I would post pictures of the back and side of the games so buyers can inspect the seals. That is when the bidding on an auction of 5 sealed games really goes through the roof.
Edit: If you're not a member and can't see the thread, this is the fake auction. To the untrained eye it looks perfectly sealed. Note that it ended early because someone gave him a private bid.
400 bucks i wouldnt pay for it period 350$ i would pay for it if it was factory sealed but his isnt
Clearly, you are uneducated on the subject matter. The original NES was not sealed in plastic by Nintendo. It came only with a tongue-and-groove "lock" that you can easily open and re-shut. There was no "seal" to break, champ. FYI, knowledgable collectors already have the bid up to $410.
That's right. As far as I know, none of the NES or Famicom boxes were sealed or anything.
I saw some shops where they sealed it by themselves to prevent people opening it.
Good luck for the auction.

Too bad it sold for $560, hah?
Still getting your panties in a twist then chewbacca. So you quote Roth saying he knows people pay insane prices for these games, then you boast it sold for a high price. What are you trying to do, prove him right?
Proved him right.
If I had a spare 560$... I would use it for a ticket to Japan. (Although a ticket is still more expensive than that)
Haha! Congratulations chewbaca4! You needn't brag or defend yourself when you post something that people rebutt against. If you're going to sell such products with that degree of questionablility to them, you're bound to have us "non-believers." Perhaps you rebutt so quickly and rudely because it's true?...
Also, please don't make ignorant posts like these anymore. We've tolerated your whining up until now, and won't do it anymore. Post anymore garbage that doesn't help the forums out, and it will be deleted. If you want to post the products that you sell, by all means, do so. We are always interested in Nintendo E-Bay products. If someone rebutts you, post your rebuttle, but don't attack people.
Once again, congratulations chewbaca4.
Oh, dear . . . my posts will be deleted? What will I do with myself now? I'll be so empty inside . . . .
You're calling ME "ignorant"? How many doctoral derees have YOU earned? Have many multi-million-dollar-profit-per-year companies have YOU built from the ground up by the age of 28? I have no use for this pathetic forum any longer, anyway. It has served its ever-so-limited purpose. To the kind people who responded politely and genuinely, take care. To the poor, inadequate souls who responded rudely, jealously, and in a tone that questioned my integrity, EAT **** with a cherry on top!
chewbaca's farewell to us ^
Bye bye then. Thank you.
Hmm... If he owns a "multi-million-dollar-profit-per-year company", then why was he going around every NES related forum on the internet multiply times trying to increase the price of a NES by a few dollars. Doesn't sound like time is money entrepreneur activity to me.
In answer to your questions I have 7 PhDs and my name is Bill Gates.
Edit: I know I shouldn't have bothered to respond to this but couldn't help myself.
I leave for a week and you guys go scaring everyone off. well... uhh... nice work he was needlessly rude to everyone simply for their curiosity in the product...
Where were you the whole week?
It was less fun on the board without our most active poster.
I was visiting the girlfriend and getting fun NES stuff
