expensive!
holy monkey this price sucks.
Yeah it does! I'm not a die hard into the collecting quite yet, so anything over $15-$20 is a little pricey to me. The most expensive I bought was the DW III w/ Explorer's Handbook for $20. I thought it was well worth it! Unless it's hard to find (which FF isn't all that hard to find), I'm inclined to look for better deals on certain games.
that's my point, FF isn't rare, I have two copies now. and that's the cart only price too! DW is more rare, or
Megaman, but not FF...
I bought mine for $74 incl.ship. from the us,never used b4 mint.
I guess i wanted it so bad that i overreacted a little bit! Ah well still very glad to have it that condition and nice for the collection.

wow. You must've been super excited!!! Next time, ask some people around here, we'll try and save you a few (ton of) bucks!
still shrink wrapped drives the price way up though...
Sometimes I don't know how much to trust that, though. Is there a way to tell if it's the original shrink wrap, and not just a really good conditioned product that's inside?
I don't think it would make a lot of difference, if it's still flawless and shrinkwrapped be it original or not you'll be hard pressed to find someone who can tell the difference.
This is how it must look, check the tearstrips on the side and back.
yes, but shrink wrapping could be easily forged.
Exactly... There are so many tools available to the general public, it's easy to get away with stuff like that. That's what makes me skeptical about "still in the shrink wrap" games and their outrageous prices...
which is why I'm not collecting as most would, I collect to play and have fun. if it's just a cart, that's fine. if it has a manual, perfect! if it has a box... well, whatever, a piece of cardboard isn't a big seller for me.
Yeah, I think people who pay inflated prices for sealed games that they never open for fear of reducing the value are forgetting why they got into gaming in the first place. A box and instructions are nice, but I'm not going to pay through the nose for them.
If I had a sealed game for collecting I'd probably have a playable double then.
Only if it's a bad game there's no need to open the precious wrapping.

but there's always the curiosity...
The curiosity of seeing what pamphlet or card or something is in the box?
Or the curiosity whether it is really factory sealed or just faked?
the curiosity of everything, what's in the box, how the game plays, even if you KNOW it's crap, you'll still be tempted to give it another shot
When I really know that it's crap, then I won't bother to take it out.
If it's a game I don't know I'll probably try it.
I really have no use for shrink wrapping or boxes, manuals have uses, but the shrink wrapping gets brittle and breaks off, and the boxes just get mashed...
if I ever come across some boxes I'll certainly offer then up to anyone here that wants them before I destroy them from abuse
We'll wait for your offers.
i dont think id ever open a sealed nes game. if i wanted to play it that bad id get another copy, or buy a loose/complete and opened one in the first place
That's a die hard collector.
Perhaps I would do the same thing (as stated above).
I saw a sketch on Japanese TV someday, when everybody called that man a maniac, but he corrected them and said "I'm a COLLECTOR".
Sorry it was a bit OT, but I wanted to write it down here.
omg..... 35$ is totally ridicolous i mean if it was sealed maybe but its not lol so im laughing right now....
if somebody buys that then they mustnt care about there moiney at alll
odds are the one they are selling isnt sealed one bit. im willing to bet money that its loose and in crappy shape
it already says its used so i no its not sealed lol
it says right on the page that's it's cart only, no instructions or anything, which was the whole point behind the thread... I think $35 is a bit high for a complete FF, but nothing to scream about. but cart only!?
