The second RPG bought by yours truly, the great Scratchenator (first one was Zelda II - Link). Great range of equipment: Swords, Shields, rings, you name it! And how about those Monsters outside the city walls? I remember hitting them and running wildly to catch the damn pennies coming out of their guts. Great storyline. And cool concept, those training places!
But, if I had one bad thing to say about Faxanadu, it would be the frustrating and horrible controls. No fluidity whatsoever. If this game had the Mario Bros controls, it would be the greatest RPG of the NES era! Go ahead! Prove me wrong!
