Donkey Kong Classics NES Review - Faithful ports of the arcade... or almost

by Sarah on Sunday, March 3, 2002
If it weren't for the missing pie factory level in DK, it'd be a perfect port of the original arcade games. Graphically, it's identical, and the gameplay (especially the jumping) is less frustrating than the ColecoVision port.

As someone who spent way too much time playing DK for the Atari 2600, I can tell you that this version is worth it if you're a retrogamer.

My fave level? It's gotta be the key locks level in DK Jr!!!
