Castlevania III NES Review - A good run comes to a screeching halt.

Everyone seems to like this one except for me. If Nintendo hadn't redeemed itself with the Super Nintendo Castlevania, I would have been disappointed about ending with this one.
For some reason, Konami felt it necessary to change the way Simon walks DOWN the stairs. With the NES Advantage it's almost impossible, with the control pad, it's tolerable, but I still have moments where Simon tumbles down the stairs when all I was trying to do was climb down them.
It also gets too hard much too FAST. That goddamned clock tower needs to go.
On the good points, however, being able to change characters is neat, as well as being able to choose which path to go on. Great graphics and music, the gameplay just needs work. 6 out of 10.
