| You must own this game. It is an excellent classic with original gameplay (no jumping, just grappling. *reminds me of spiderman). Very fun and Very challenging. using the grapple is challenging at times. a must buy 5/5 |

| I remember playing this game as a little kid, and it is even sweeter today. The gameplay is original for the side-scrolling shoot'em up genre and, I know this is gonna sound stupid, but the music for this game rocks! |

| An interesting game to say the least. I got this game when I was really young, it took me a really long time to figure out that you had to THINK. Contrary to popular belief, the whole point of the game is not shooting crap- you can get through it just fine with minimal battles. If you're looking for mindless combat, go play Contra. If you want a game that stays interesting, give it a serious try. |

I used to play Bionic Commando at my friend's house. Back then we were unaware that it was a kinda sequel to Commando (which he also had, but for the Atari 2600). Anyway, I remembered this game to be pretty good and all.
Last year, I played it for the first time in over 10 years. I was surprised to see how challenging it was. As someone else wrote here, it is on a par with Metroid (must be the bionic arm)! |

| The greatest game of all time!!! |

I don't think words are enough to describe just how great Bionic Commando is. Throughout my life I have seen games come and go and I don't think that there is one quite like this. In fact I'm not even afraid to admit that it's my favorite game of all time. I first saw BC (Bionic Commando) years ago at a friend's house. I was about nine at the time. He played it for about five minutes and turned then turned it off because I could tell that he was frustrated with the arm. I never got the chance to play the game but I fell in love with it right away and I had to own my own copy. At this time it was 1990 and by then BC was already a fairly old game. I must've gone to every store in the city looking for a copy, not to mention all the calls I made. But all I got was the same response....
Me: Do you have Bionic Commando?
Store guy: That? Whoa...I don't think so. That game is pretty old.
I was ready to give up until one day I was at the mall with my dad and it was right around Christmas time. We were in a music store of some sort and they were actually selling NES games. The selection was pretty small, but low and behold, there it was!!! BIONIC COMMANDO!!! After going every toy store and video store in town only to come back empty handed, here it was in an obscure music store, and it looked like it had been there for a while because it literally had dust on it and was marked down in price several times. I didn't have enough money on me to buy it but I wanted it it so badly! In fact I don't think I'd ever wanted a game this badly. So my Dad made me a deal. He'd buy me the game but I could not play it until Christmas day. I agreed, but Christmas was two weeks away and that was a long two weeks. So anyways, to make a long story short I got the game and I was happy! I still play it all the time and I never get tired of it. Why? Because it's the greatest game ever made DAMMIT!!!! That's why!!! |

| The plot is lackluster at best, but this game's play mechanics and graphics are solid. You must use your bionic arm to swing about, flying to various areas on the strategy map. This title falls somewhere between Metal Gear and Metroid -- a great continuum to belong to!! |

| Bionic Commando Died for Your Sins |

This game is freaking awesome. Just the premise is sweet. Some hostile government (possibly the Russians) are trying to implement an old Nazi plan to build the ultimate death machine. Generalissmo Killt believes he needs to ressurect Hitler to make it work.
So, the good government sent Super Joe to stop him (that is the plotline for Commando- another decent Capcom game). However, Super Joe was captured. Now Ladd Spencer, the Bionic Commando (i.e. you) has to go rescue Super Joe and stop Killt's evil plans.
The layout includes a map, where you helicopter from area to area, including neutral zones where you meet up with allies and rub shoulders with the enemy.
